As of the end of the first quarter of 2024 (March 31), more than 190,000 vulnerabilities have been registered in the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). The Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) is one of the metrics often used for vulnerability assessment. SSVC (Stakeholder-Specific Vulnerability Categorization) is an alternative evaluation method to CVSS. SSVC is a vulnerability evaluation metric proposed to address CVSS issues. There has been a growing demand in Japan for systems to handle important information to operate autonomously without relying on foreign-owned clouds. In public clouds, there is a risk that uploaded information or information generated on cloud services can be viewed by cloud providers. “Sovereign clouds” is attracting a great deal of attention that “users can control with sovereignty from the viewpoint of economic security”. There also has been a growing demand for hybrid cloud configurations in autonomy, and on-premises depending on the situation. NTT DATA is currently researching and developing a cryptographic key management system to solve security issues in the clouds. With the increase in cyber-attacks, a huge amount of threat intelligence is required for response. NTTDATA-CERT collects threat intelligence on a daily basis to prevent security incidents and quickly detect them. Through the introduction of MISP (Malware Information Sharing Platform), it has improved cyber-attack response capabilities and facilitated information cooperation internally and externally.
