  • Previously, we shared fascinating stories about #Taiwan in the 2000s. Now, let's take a look at some major global events from that era that had widespread economic impacts. 💶 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼: The #euro began circulating in EU countries, creating a more unified European market and making trade within the eurozone easier. Today, 20 countries use the euro, which has strengthened European economic stability and boosted the euro's status in global finance. ✈️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟵/𝟭𝟭 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀: On September 11, terrorists hijacked planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, leading to significant loss of life. This tragic event caused market closures and a steep drop in airline and insurance stocks, contributing to a global economic downturn. In the aftermath, global security measures and industry regulations were significantly tightened. 🏦 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟴 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀: The U.S. subprime mortgage crisis triggered a global financial meltdown. Major institutions like Lehman Brothers went bankrupt, stock markets plummeted, and banks tightened lending, leading to corporate financial squeezes and widespread layoffs. This crisis led to stronger global financial regulations and a prolonged economic recovery period. 👍 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 #𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀: Platforms like #LinkedIn (𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘺!), Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter emerged, becoming powerful tools for business #communication and #marketing. These sites revolutionized how we connect, creating new business models like targeted advertising and influencer marketing, and transforming global business and social interaction. These events from the early 2000s had lasting impacts on the global #economy. What other events do you think were game-changers? Share your thoughts in the comments!

  • Did you know Taiwanese people love #coffee just as much as tea? According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), Taiwan's coffee industry is worth nearly US$2.6 billion. Taiwanese drink about 2.85 billion cups a year, averaging 200 cups per person, making it one of the top three coffee consumers in Asia! #Taiwan also produces its own specialty coffee beans with diverse fruity flavors that have entered the international market. One batch even sold for around US$1,000 per kilogram, setting a record on the Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE) auction platform. Taiwanese coffee beans come in three main flavors based on their growing regions: ☕ Mountain Flavor: Full body, high acidity, and rich flavor from the cool, short sunlight climate. ☕ Plateau Flavor: Low bitterness, high sweetness from the day-night temperature difference in southern Taiwan. ☕ Island Flavor: Moderate acidity, thick and delicate texture influenced by Pacific Ocean winds in eastern Taiwan. Plus, Taiwan boasts many manufacturers of high-quality coffee machines and grinders, and you can find them all at the 2024 Taichung International Tea, Coffee and Bakery Show! Don't miss out on this amazing event! See you there: https://hubs.li/Q02G7DQn0 #food #health #manufacturing
