⚡ The Government of Ukraine and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have started active work on the preparation of new financial agreements. The EIB is expected to approve a EUR 250 million support package for Ukraine's energy sector in the near future. In addition, a number of potential joint projects are planned, including those aimed at providing housing for Ukrainian citizens. In terms of current initiatives, the EIB is financing small and medium-sized enterprise projects with three Ukrainian banks: Ukrgasbank, Procredit Bank and Ukreximbank, as well as preparing the signature of the Financial Agreement between Ukraine and the EIB on the project "Implementation of the Emergency Assistance System for the Population through a Single Number 112". The European Investment Bank systematically supports Ukraine in priority areas. In total, the EIB's public sector initiatives comprise 26 projects worth EUR 5.3 billion. The portfolio of joint public-private projects is the largest in all years of cooperation and amounts to more than EUR 7 billion. Since the outbreak of full-scale war, the EIB has provided some EUR 2 billion of investment in all parts of the country. The Bank's financial support is aimed at addressing the country's priority needs, including the restoration of critical infrastructure and the rehabilitation of the energy system.

⚡ The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has registered the new ECO Mukachevo Industrial Park. It is planned to attract investments of more than EUR 36 million to develop the industrial park on the territory of 23 hectares. The park will create around 900 new jobs in the manufacturing industry.  A number of companies will be established on its territory, including wood processing, paper and paper products, and printing. It is also expected that the park will host textile and electrical equipment manufacturing companies, companies specialising in the electronics industry, metalworking, food technology, science and technology, information and telecommunications, alternative energy and other areas compatible with the above. Together with ECO Mukachevo, there are already 85 industrial parks in Ukraine. Each new industrial park means new production, new jobs and increased revenues for the state and local budgets.

⚡ The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has registered the new Green Lactic Industrial Park in Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk Region. The concept of the park envisages the creation of 600 jobs, investments of UAH 2.3 billion in the construction of facilities and UAH 3.1 billion in production equipment. Food processing companies will operate on the 12-hectare site. In particular, they will produce flour and cereals, starch and starch products, other food products and ready-made animal feed. 

🇺🇦 Congratulations on Ukrainian Statehood Day! This remarkable day reminds us of the thousand-year history of Ukrainian statehood, which begins with Kyivan Rus. This is where our coat of arms, national currency and Kyiv, which has become the political and cultural centre of Ukraine, originated. The holiday is celebrated together with the Day of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus-Ukraine and the commemoration of Prince Volodymyr the Great, who adopted Christianity as the state religion in 988. This step was a civilisational choice for our country. From now on, the holiday will be celebrated on 15 July in connection with the transition of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church to the New Julian Calendar from 1 September 2023.

⚡ The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has registered the new Dobrosyn Industrial Park in the Lviv region. The park was created on 4 municipal land plots with a total area of 14.62 hectares in the Dobrosyn-Magerivska municipality of the Lviv region. According to the concept, it will specialise in the processing industry. The area of 27.3 hectares will be occupied by the following enterprises ✔ textile industry  ✔ pharmaceutical industry ✔ food industry ✔ processing and storage of agricultural products ✔ wood processing ✔ mechanical engineering The concept of the park envisages the creation of up to 3,300 new jobs. The aim is to provide companies with a shared infrastructure and control over production and environmental impact. Since the beginning of 2024, 16 new industrial parks have been added to the register, more than in 2022 and 2023. The register now contains 84 industrial parks.

⚡ Ukraine has invested UAH 8.5 billion in entrepreneurship through grants over the two years of the eRobota project. Since the launch of the eRobota project in July 2022: 🔹 16,490 micro-grants worth UAH 3.9 billion have been awarded under the "Own Business" programme 🔹 for the development of processing enterprises - 672 grants for UAH 3.4 billion 🔹 211 grants for the development of horticulture and greenhouses - UAH 925 million 🔹 veterans and their families - 634 grants worth UAH 283 million More than 18,000 entrepreneurs have received grants to start or develop their businesses under the government project.  📝 "With government support, thousands of new businesses have been opened and existing ones have been given the opportunity to grow, increase production and enter new markets. They are working, paying taxes, creating jobs - more than 55,000 new jobs in various industries will be created by grant recipients," said Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy. Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no business experience can apply for a grant. Applications are submitted via the Diia portal, together with a business plan. The condition for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs - from 1-2 in the case of a micro-grant to several dozen in the case of grants under other programmes. Grant funds are returned to the government in the form of taxes and fees paid by the business over a three-year period. ℹ As a reminder, the eRobota project was launched by the government in July 2022 to support businesses and stimulate job creation. It includes several grant schemes. These include micro-grants for starting or developing a business, grants for veterans and their spouses, grants for starting and developing processing enterprises, and grants for planting a garden, viticulture and greenhouse.

⚡ The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has registered the new KOVEL PORTO industrial park. The concept of the park envisages investments totalling almost UAH 358 million and the creation of 587 jobs. The park will be located in the city of Kovel. The 11.6 hectare site will be home to manufacturing companies: 🔹 manufacture of finished metal products, machinery and equipment  🔹 repair and installation of machinery and equipment, etc 📝 "Since the beginning of the year, 16 new industrial parks have been registered. This is more than we had in the whole year of 2023 or 2022. The trend shows an increasing interest from companies to work in the parks. It also shows that local authorities understand the additional opportunities for the regional economy created by the work of the parks. The development of industrial parks is part of the "Made in Ukraine" economic policy, so the government will provide comprehensive support in this area. In particular, this year's state budget allocates UAH 1 billion for the development of industrial parks," said Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindrativ.
