I am a Policy, Advocacy, Strategic Communications and Partnerships Specialist with a Degree in Laws, a Diploma in Social Work and a Certificate in Intellectual Property and Access to Medicines. I have more than 18 years of Leadership experience in various projects and programs in Africa. I worked on Areas like Policy Advocacy on; Climate Smart and Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture, Health, Human Rights, Child Rights and Protection, Multi-stakeholder Engagements and Management, HIV/AIDS and Cancer Care. I have worked for Non-Government Organisations (International and National) in Humanitarian and Development Response at country, regional, continental and global levels. Additionally, I have more than 5 years in High Level Strategic Policy Engagements with; African Union, USA Congress and Senate, UK Parliamentary Group on Agriculture, some of the African Union Member States, JICA, Parliamentarians, AUDA-NEPAD, UN Agencies, African Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank.

Major Achievements: Initiated and led the process towards the African Union Continental Declaration on Biofortification in collaboration of the 3 AUC Departments and Endorsement of the AU Specialised technical Committees on Agriculture and Health; 2017 and 2018 Advocacy Engagements with the USA Congress and Senate saw Biofortification mentioned in the Report of the USA Senate Committee on Agriculture and recommendation for continued funding under USAID Feed the Future Program; Policy Advocacy with some of the AU Member States saw biofortification included into the National Budgets, Policies and Government led projects as well as RECs Policies, AUC DREA and AUDA-NEPAD Strategic Plans; Lobby with the UK Parliamentary Group on Agriculture resulted into a 5 Million GBP Supplementary Budget under UKAID for Conventional Breeding of Biofortified Crops by HarvestPlus. At Uganda level, I have coordinated CSOs on; Children Act Amendment Bill 2014, Industrial Property Bill 2011, and HIV/AIDS Prevention and Contract Bill 2011 and all these were enacted into law. I have been co-opted into the different Technical Working Groups of Government, UN Agencies and INNGOs. I have presented multiple presentations in various International Conferences.
