We are delighted to announce the Future Entrepreneur 2024 winner is 14-year-old Khant Zin Thaw from Kudos to You Professional Development Academy and the runners-up are Safety Chains, a year 8 team representing Gresham's Prep School. The Future Entrepreneur is an international entrepreneurship competition for children who won the business pitch as part of the ABE Endorsed KidsMBA programme. The entry standard is very high and all entrants and finalists should feel proud. Winner Thant impressed the judges with his innovative and ambitious business idea TrashFormers - dedicated to transforming waste into eco-friendly products with the social mission of providing job opportunities for unemployed people in his native Bhuma (Myanmar). Judge Lesley Li, CEO & co-founder, u impact | impact4good, summed up the judges' thoughts saying, "A very passionate and purpose-driven founder at such a young age!". Michael Buchan, Senior Lecturer, Strategy Enterprise and Innovation, University of Portsmouth added, "Overall an excellent and brave attempt to do the right thing and with time, experience and judgement these projects can and will make a huge difference to the people of your country." The runners-up were Elisabeth, Esme, Emma, Imogen, Minky, Cristina and Georgie, an impressive year 8 team from Gresham's Prep School, England. Their innovative idea was to create self-defence wear that looked like fashion jewellery, but which incorporated hidden alarms that could be activated if the wearer was in danger. The judges were impressed by the originality of this idea with Michael Buchan saying, "Linking fashion to security and discretion is very powerful", and ABE examiner Gillian Hayter adding, "Wonderful idea and well presented by confident speakers. The hard work of Safety Chains is evident in their great presentation." Many congratulations to our winners and all the finalists from ABE and KidsMBA. We look forward to hearing what you do next! #FutureEntrepreneurs #EntrepreneurshipEducation #Myanmar #UnitedKingdom KidsMBA Gresham's School SUREN ..

Exciting news! New Level 3 ABE qualifications are in the final stages of development. They are being designed to enable centres to offer a superb suite of qualifications, with options to suit different learner needs, whilst remaining highly cost-effective to deliver. The qualification suite is comprised as follows: • ABE Level 3 Diploma in Business Management (120 credits) • ABE Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Business Management (60 credits) • ABE Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Business (40 credits) • ABE Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Entrepreneurship (40 credits) • ABE Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Leadership (40 credits) The 40-credit Foundation Diplomas allow learners to focus on one or two areas of business that interest them and they work well combined with other fields of study. The 120-credit Diploma is ideal for people who want to focus solely on business and progress to higher levels of study. The 60-credit Foundation Diploma is for people who want to focus on building a career with the benefit of a good overview of key areas of business, leadership and entrepreneurialism. The new qualifications will all come with a tutor guide and each unit will have its own study guide to support learners by reinforcing the teaching delivered by their school or centre. All Leadership units have been developed in partnership with The Institute of Leadership. Learners enrolled on the new Level 3 programmes will also benefit from free studying membership of The Institute of Leadership. In the coming weeks, we will release more specific unit information and centres will be able to start applying for approval to run the programmes. On Monday 2nd September, we hosted a webinar to introduce KidsMBA to first-time schools, pupils and parents in India and Nepal. The event generated much excitement with several schools streaming it into their classrooms. In addition to the ABE team, we had some wonderful guest speakers including KidsMBA founder, Professor Mark Watson-Gandy and KidsMBA programme leads who shared such positive experiences of introducing the programme to their students. Within a minute of the webinar ending, a new school asked to run the programme. That might be a record for speed! With special thanks to all our guests, including: Ayushma Rana Shah from Kaasthamandap Vidyalaya KLTCE. Dr C K Lalli, Principal at Hindustan International School. Aruna Ravi Programme Lead at Ekya Schools & CMR NPS. Dr Anuja Naik, Principal, Omkar Group of Schools. KidsMBA
