Having just had a number of conversations about VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) this morning, I am still staggered at the sheer numbers involved, whilst convictions remain at embarrassingly low numbers. In the UK 1.4M women experienced domestic abuse in the year to March 2023 on the last ONS survey. Almost one assault every 20 seconds. Convictions are hard, not just because of the fear of reporting, but also the resources required. I share with you a video of PinPoint, a new AI tool aimed to assist police in tackling this crime, but radically reducing the time taken to surface the evidence that is required to bring perpetrators to justice (no matter what the crime).
