Shannon Smith MARLA our Regional Lettings Manager for the South West has had a great start to 2024. She joined Andrews Property Group 7 years ago as a Saturday Lettings Negotiator and has developed in her career ever since. She was promoted three months ago from Business Manager for the Gloucester Lettings Hub into her new role. She is an active member of the Women in Residential Property group. The purpose of the group is to positively influence the residential property industry across the UK and all its sub sectors. Its mission is to educate, empower and support all those within residential property to achieve gender equity in a thriving, inclusive and sustainable industry. Shannon Smith has been an active member since November 2023 and regularly arranges events and coffee mornings within her region. Shannon is particularly keen on developing her understanding of the whole property sector. One of the key benefits of membership is sharing work experiences with a wide range of professionals such as solicitors and architects. She will be attending the Women in Residential Property Picnic in the Park event on the 16th August at the Tithe Barn in Bradford-on-Avon. Shannon said; ‘It’s been amazing, I have made some great connections through this and it’s just a lovely space for people to come together to talk about the challenges etc in their part of the sector and very educational. One thing I feel passionately about is opening my events to people at all stages of their career from trainees right up to managing directors.’

We’ve now finished tallying up all of the generous contributions for our recent fundraising activity and are delighted to confirm that we’ve raised an incredible total of £8,216! This surpasses our original target by over £3,000. The funds raised will provide 14 deposits for [establish] tenants, enabling them to move into the private rental sector and secure safe, stable homes 🏡 A massive thank you to everyone who has contributed and supported us.
