We are delighted to see Brookfield Asset Management’s investment of up to USD 1.1 bn in AP Ventures portfolio company Infinium’s projects and Series-C fundraise. This investment will support Infinium’s Project Roadrunner under development in West Texas, as well as other eFuels projects globally. The scale-up of Infinium’s ultra-low carbon fuels, including eSAF, eDiesel and eNaptha has the potential to decarbonise transportation and key infrastructure, including planes, ships, trucks and manufacturing processes. AP Ventures’ portfolio company Hypermotive just announced it is collaborating with Honda to develop a scalable hydrogen fuel cell power system, using Honda’s fuel cell system and Hypermotive’s ecosystem of smart hardware products. We are delighted to see Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies receive a EUR 72.5 m grant for its Blue Danube Project, which will build the first industrial-size LOHC hub in Southern Bavaria by 2028. The project will release 1,800 tons of green hydrogen per year to supply industrial off-takers in the Danube region. AP Ventures believes that the transportation of green hydrogen is a critical part of the future hydrogen economy, and the scale-up of Hydrogenious’ LOHC technology is a positive step in this journey. #hydrogen #energytransition #technology #venture #environment

We are pleased to see the partnership between AP Ventures portfolio company Infinium and Borealis. Infinium’s pioneering eNaptha, produced using emissions that would have otherwise been released into the atmosphere, will be used by Borealis’ facility in Finland to produce low-carbon emissions polyolefins. Last month was AP Ventures’ six year anniversary - looking back on the last year, we are pleased with the progress made and excited for more to come! AP Ventures is growing, in the last year we have opened a San Francisco office and recruited new team members into our London office. Our portfolio is growing too - we have also made investments in direct air capture company Airhive and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) developer Aether Fuels. We have seen plenty of milestones in our portfolio, with successful fundraises for Infinium, ZeroAvia, Immaterial and HPNow, among others. Our portfolio companies continue to gain recognition for their role in the energy transition through the CleanTech 100, the XPRIZE and the European Hydrogen Tech 25 List. The next year will see us continue to invest in innovative technology companies in the hydrogen and CCUS space, driving forward the decarbonisation of hard to abate sectors and we look forward to supporting our existing portfolio companies as they scale up! #venture #hydrogen #CCUS #decarbonisation
