We recently completed the geotechnical works at Cory’s second energy from waste facility, Riverside 2, located on the banks of the River Thames in south-east London. Working on behalf of the principal contractor, Hitachi Zosen Inova, our team constructed a secant wall box and load bearing foundation piles. Eight years ago, we began the construction phase of the Thames Tideway Tunnel. Today, the underground civil engineering works were completed with the lifting of the 1,200-tonne, 24m-wide concrete lid at Abbey Mills Pumping Station. AWARD-WINNING TEAM 🏆   SB3, a Bachy Soletanche Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering joint venture, delivering geotechnical works at HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd's Old Oak Common Station, recently received the 2023 Contractor of the Year Award from Principal Contractor Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA Joint Venture (BBVS).   SB3 were awarded the prize for the exceptional standards of quality and safety they maintained throughout the year.
