We are pleased to share that our Hyatt Place London City East team have achieved the EarthCheck Benchmark Bronze Accreditation. #EarthCheck is the world’s leading scientific benchmarking certification and advisory group for travel and tourism, and the EarthCheck programme requires reporting our performance to benchmark our hotel against regional average and leaders in the hotel sector. In addition to being certified Its great to be recognised as a regional leader. The Earthcheck programme is built on a continual improvement model and will be our beacon ensuring we achieve our ESG goals through operational excellence for many years to come. At Cycas Hospitality our core purpose is to develop and inspire Europe’s best hospitality team; that starts by building a sustainable future. I am immensely proud of our team achieving this milestone cementing all the incredible work we do towards managing our hotel through a lens of responsible Environmental Social Governance. We are proud to announce that Hyatt Place London City East has completed an independently assured environmental, social and governance (ESG) assessment with Omnevue. We believe that saying you are supporting sustainability and social governance doesn’t quite cut it anymore. So we’ve proven it. Particular successes for our 2023 data included significant reduction in our Scope 1 & 2 CO2e year on year, the enhanced support of our team through fair pay & benefits above London Living wage benchmarks, further enriching our team through Gender Diversity, and successfully deploying governance policies including our Net Zero plan aligned to our ESG goals. In 2024, we aim to further penetrate our supply chain, seeking opportunity to reduce our Scope 3 CO2e, begin collating more diversity data to further support and promote equality in our workplace, enhance our circularity programmes, and deploy our own biodiversity plan. We invite you to join us on our journey towards building a sustainable future. Working with Omnevue was an easy choice, Reporting financial-grade, auditable ESG data and complying with all the ESG regulations was a key priority for us. We also loved that their platform enabled us to track insights about our hotel, with their support we’ve highlighted areas of improvement to help deploy an action plan to decrease CO2e and save operational costs.
