Today marks a crucial point in our mission to support autistic children in educational settings. We're proud to announce the launch of our BeyondAutism Fast Responder® campaign #IncludedNotExcluded. Autistic pupils are twice as likely to be excluded from school compared to their peers without special educational needs. It's a statistic that demands action, and we're stepping up to make a difference. With your support, we aim to fund up to 12 BeyondAutism Fast Responders® who will provide support to up to 360 pupils per year. Together, we can break down barriers to learning and create more inclusive educational environments across the UK. Find out how just £18 can help us achieve our goal https://buff.ly/49WSzka

About us
We are experts in delivering autism education services from pre-school to 25. BeyondAutism is a non-profit organisation, driving change in the world of autism education to ensure autistic children and young adults access an education which empowers a life full of choice, independence and opportunity. We do this by creating positive educational experiences, training for the professional team around a child, and information, resources and support for families and carers. Our services: We deliver rapid and sustained outcomes in our Early Years’ service by working with parents and children together. Empowering parents to feel resilient and confident in meeting the needs of their child leads to aspirational, informed choices creating a positive and successful step into primary education. Our schools and Post-19 service have a specialist curriculum that ensures sustained success beyond the age of 25, setting children and young adults up with the skills and independence to lead a life of their choosing. Children with an EHCP are up to six times more likely to be excluded for a fixed period or permanently than pupils with no special educational needs.¹ The majority of these pupils will have autism alongside other communication and learning difficulties. We’re activating networks and building local capacity with our solution focused Outreach team; and our unique Fast Responder service is working at the point of crisis to change the national picture and reduce school placement breakdown.

Proud to lead across boundaries and to break the cycles of prejudice that exist across communities for autistic children and young adults. It’s no coincidence that charity leaders speak out, amplifying the voices of the people they serve, no matter what and no matter where. A member of the BeyondAutism team highlighted the very real distress felt by friends, colleagues and people in our communities facing terrifying confrontations that many of us are struggling to comprehend. I want my team to know that we stand as one, proud to challenge the actions of others that undermine the respectful values we hold central to all that we do.

To round off the end of term at Early Years, we celebrated with the annual summer fete! It was wonderful to see so many families, past and present, come together to join us for the day. Children thoroughly enjoyed playing on the bouncy castle provided by Jumping Jacks whilst families tucked into the bake sale and tried their luck on the raffle, full of items donated by some great Bromley local businesses. With the support of our families, we raised over £1100! If you’d like to support our Early Years’ service and help keep it free for the families who need it, make a donation today: https://buff.ly/4dkRgxB
