    We were scrabbling around for something to pair with Eric Cantona for a campaign to reveal the new Ford Capri. IMAGINE OUR EXCITEMENT when we realised that in Latin Capri translates as Goat. It was the Greatest of All Times. Enter Ernie the goat, a team of influencers, Gary Lineker and eventually an advert for the new All-Electric Ford Capri. Born Social x Craft Films x Ernie the goat = millions of earned reach + me getting a selfie with Eric And all of this happened because we wrote ‘Je Suis Capri’ and put it over an image of Eric Cantona…

    𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱, 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞! This week we're relaunching the iconic Ford Capri with another mischievous legend, Eric Cantona. This is just the tip of the iceberg, below the surface is a spiders web of viral moments including podcast walkouts, vintage Capri stunts, fake CCTV leaks, paparazzi photos with a goat, multiple influencer partnerships and of course, Glastonbury flags. All in we've got hundreds of millions of eyeballs around the car pre launch and the internet rumour milll has only just started whirring. Whenever you re-invent an icon there's push back, so now it's time to harness the hate and usher in a new era of electric with even more mischief. Big up to the Born Social team for an incredible shift and Simon Cooper for furiously protecting his brainchild. Je Suis Capri.

The last few weeks have seen us *check’s notes*  - Send the internet into a storm over a picture of Eric Cantona walking a goat. - Make it into the roundup of best flags at Glastonbury. - Release cctv footage of Eric “trying” to charge a vintage Ford Capri.  - Unveil the new, all electric Ford Capri with the man himself racking up  hundreds of millions in earned reach in the process. A real pinch me moment that the whole Born Social team has loved every second of. I couldn’t be prouder of my team and everyone who has contributed to the work.
