We've signed the Green Arts Charter! We've been working with Creative Carbon Scotland to develop the Green Arts Charter, a collaborative sustainability agreement designed for and by cultural organisations within the Green Arts Initiative. The charter outlines four environmental and sustainability pledges that the network is committing to, as well as a framework of milestones that organisations can use to guide their action planning. We encourage fellow Green Arts Initiative members to read more and sign the charter via the link below. #GreenArtsCharter #CreativeCarbonScotland
For the past nine months a cohort of representatives from Green Arts Initiative member organisations have been working with us to create a Green Arts Charter - a collaborative sustainability agreement aimed at inspiring, supporting and providing a framework to deliver the climate action needed to achieve transformational change in Scotland’s cultural sector and beyond. Today, as we officially launch the charter, we extend an enormous thanks to the the Barn (Woodend Arts Limited), Bothy Project, Cryptic, Edinburgh International Festival, Fèisean nan Gàidheal and Starcatchers. The charter has four pledges, each combined with actions and resources for charter signatories to work through: 1. Reduce our emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change. 2. Inspire our communities and collaborate with others to deliver climate action. 3. Advocate for climate action and influence for change. 4. Embed climate justice in our organisation and any climate action we do. Read all about the Green Arts Charter and sign today! (If your organisation isn't already a member of the Green Arts Initiative, you encourage to join first and then sign the charter.) https://lnkd.in/eu4bD3R2 #GreenArts #ClimateNeedsCulture #ClimateAdaptation #ClimateAction #ClimatePledge #Mitigation #ArtsAndSustainability #ArtsAndEnvironment #CreativeClimateAction Creative Scotland
