Every week at Cradle I am amazed by the speed and efficiency of our high-throughput protein expression and purification workflow. We can reliably take 384 variants, and go from starting growth to purified protein in just 3 days of relatively light lab work! My awesome colleague Jinel Shah and I really wanted to share the details of our method with other scientists, so we have written up a blog post and accompanying Briefly protocol. We hope you will be convinced that high-throughput is the way to go, and that you can easily test hundreds of variants in parallel without sacrificing purity, yield, or too much of your valuable time in the lab. Huge congratulations to Briefly Bio on closing their pre-seed round! It's a wonderful product for anyone working with experimental biology and chemistry. For me personally it allows: - A very precise documentation of what has been done during the experiments. 📒 - To explain other scientists what is being done, the purpose of an experiment, as well as potential problems that might arise during the work. 📊 - Discuss a future experimental design with the team. 🔁 - Saves a lot of time. ⌚ I wholeheartedly wish Briefly's team the best of luck, keep doing a great job!
