We are thrilled to announce that cheqd and Dock are joining forces, in partnership, to deliver the most feature-complete software stack for decentralised ID #DID. Together, cheqd will supercharge Certs, Dock’s already powerful Decentralised ID platform, with our ground-breaking utilities adding to their own. Bringing Dock to the cheqd network will drastically increase our mainnet traffic by potentially up to ~300% and testnet traffic by ~50% with much greater volumes expected through Dock’s substantial and growing opportunity pipeline. The merger will also bring together two communities who believe in the vision of Decentralised identity, self-sovereign identity and credentials. Together, the new community has the potential to achieve 10 exchanges including CEXs and DEXs, ~92k wallets, ~98k followers on twitter, ~47k on CoinMarketCap, ~20k followers on CoinGecko and ~9k on Discord by combining the communities. As part of the merger, the $DOCK token will be converted to $CHEQ equivalent to the existing $DOCK holdings and based upon the swap ratio defined in the Merger Tokenomics section in the blog. What happens next? - The token merger is subject to approval from $DOCK token & $CHEQ  holders. The Dock team will announce their Governance vote details soon. #MeetDock What Dock Has Been Building - Nick Lambert Dock has been on a long research and development journey, focusing on building an issuance and verification platform over the past three to four years. The platform allows companies, especially those in the identity and KYC spaces, to issue and verify verifiable credentials. One of the platform’s unique features is the ability for companies to create ecosystems by inviting trusted parties they already work with to collaborate on credential issuance and verification. This ecosystem-building capability stands out in the industry. A key feature Dock offers is the monetization of credentials, allowing companies not only to issue and verify but also to get paid when their credentials are used in verifications by third parties. This solves the industry’s "cold start problem," where a lack of financial incentive has previously hindered the adoption of credential ecosystems. Two weeks left! The application deadline of cheqd foundation delegation program cycle 2 is fast approaching on September 26. We are setting aside a Delegation Pool of up to 150 million $CHEQ tokens which may be delegated or redelegated to Validators which help positively contribute to the cheqd ecosystem. The range of delegation per Validator is expected to be between: 4 million and 40 million $CHEQ based on the eligibility and criteria set out in the blog below. The proposal by Danube Tech seeks funding from the cheqd Community Pool to promote and standardise DID-Linked Resources (DLRs) beyond the cheqd ecosystem. DLRs are a technology developed by cheqd that enhances Decentralised Identifiers (DIDs) by enabling digital files to be signed and verified via DID Document keys. While currently used within cheqd for Verifiable Credential Status Lists, Trust Registries, and Schemas, the aim is to broaden their adoption across other ecosystems like the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) and standardise their usage through collaborations with organisations like the W3C Credentials Community Group. The proposal consists of two phases. The first phase focuses on integrating DLR support into open-source projects like the Decentralized Identity Foundation Universal Resolver and Universal Registrar, making it easier for companies to use DLRs in a standardised way. The second phase aims to align DLRs with official DID technical specifications, ensuring that they are compatible with emerging global standards for decentralised identity.
