We’re delighted to welcome Jameel Lalani to our team as Commercial Director for Money. Jameel is responsible for Compare the Market’s Money products, including credit cards and personal loans, as we continue to build a brilliant and talented team, expanding our choice for customers. Jameel joins us to help accelerate our progress in expanding across product lines outside of insurance and since January, Compare the Market’s Money business has grown considerably after increasing our panel of lenders and launching a new eligibility platform. Jameel commented “I’m delighted to start working at Compare the Market at such an exciting moment for the business as its Money team grows rapidly. Compare the Market does The Big Help Out. The Big Help Out, organised by /together, is a brilliant initiative and this year we were delighted to partner with them, pledging to create 50 Magical Meerkat Moments over three months. In true CtM style, hundreds of our colleagues stepped up and showed amazing enthusiasm and dedication to support a whole range of community activities. And thanks to everyone’s commitment and hard work, we didn’t just meet our target - we totally smashed it by getting involved in 80 magical moments, meaning that 76 local charities received much-needed support from us. The passion and enthusiasm that our colleagues have shown has been amazing and we couldn’t be prouder of the difference they’ve made, their impact has felt far and wide by charities in our local communities. We welcomed three summer interns into our Tech teams, and our CTO Renee Hunt recently met them for a Q&A. Based at our Head Office in #Peterborough, our Tech interns are with us for 10 weeks and are working across our Security, Product Engineering and Enterprise Technology teams 🚀 We provide them with a hands-on experience, giving them the opportunity to work on live projects and contribute to the success of the business whilst learning from some of the amazing talent we have in our teams. They also have access to our emerging talent training sessions on presentations skills, communications skills, building their personal brand, CV writing and preparing for interviews. Our brilliant Tech team recently took the time to come together for a whole day dedicated to professional development and learning, as well as celebrating some amazing successes 🌟 The event was called ‘Vibes’ and was focused on exploring a range of different tools to get the most out of your personal development goals. We were delighted to welcome a number of guest speakers who covered some great topics that were all really powerful and super insightful for our people 🙌 A huge thank you to them all… Tara Rule – How to be strategic in your career. Taylor Mirkarimi, Bsc, Msc – Being an ally in the workplace. Tom Geraghty – Psychological safety at the sharp end. With over 250 colleagues getting involved, it was a brilliant opportunity to network internally and spend valuable time with our colleagues. Welcome to the Money Team! We’re delighted to announce a number of new appointments to our Money team, as we continue to expand our choice for customers. Andy Hancock joined us at the start of the year as Chief Growth Officer to focus on increasing the range of products available to help customers make better financial decisions. Since then, he’s been growing the Money team and our latest appointments further signal an acceleration of our ambitions across product lines outside of insurance. Jameel Lalani will join us as Commercial Director for Money in the summer. He was most recently Chief Product Officer at Smoove and, prior to that he was at Moneysupermarket Group, where he held Commercial Director roles covering Mortgages, Banking and MoneySavingExpert. Jameel will be joined by Charlie Evans as Head of Commercial and Erica Croxford as Head of Category Management. Charlie was most recently Head of Commercial at TotallyMoney and Erica has been promoted from within Compare the Market. Christine Hull has also joined the team as Product Director, overseeing both Core and Grow products. Christine previously held roles at John Lewis & Partners and MoneySupermarket Group. Andy said: “Since January, we have exponentially accelerated our ambitions to offer customers a more comprehensive range of products suitable for their needs.
