Want to streamline your E&O component stock but unwilling to consign your parts overseas? No problem! We hear and understand the frustration of OEM companies when they learn that EMS companies are not prioritising E&O stock redistribution. After all, OEMs take the hit when E&O inventory sits idly. As Component Sense continues its worldwide expansion, we partnered with a transport and logistics company with over 80 warehouses across the globe. By teaming up with Danish logistics company DSV - Global Transport and Logistics we can uplift E&O component inventory to store it locally, securely, and free of charge. Storing E&O component inventory locally also means you can get components back within a moment's notice should you need them. We are excited by what the future holds as we make it even easier for OEMs to enjoy effortless cash flow while reducing e-waste. It really is global service, local to you. Step 10 of our inspection process zeroes in on leads and ball grid arrays (BGA). Since leads are generally made from copper, reflections can distort visual inspections. We use optimal side lighting and our Keyence microscope to reveal textures. We then examine the bottom of the lead feet (pads) where exposed copper, corrosion, or discolouration could compromise solderability. For BGA components, we check that the balls are consistent in height and free from issues like residue or flattening. Any variation can cause voids between the circuit board. Our inspection process is thorough to ensure no counterfeit parts slip through the cracks. Is there an untold side to Ghana's electronic waste (e-waste) story? Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, along with photojournalists Muntaka Chasant and Bénédicte Kurzen, conducted an investigation into the complex exchange of e-waste from Europe to Ghana. E-waste trafficking generally violates treaties like the Basel Convention, endangering people's health and the environment in the process. However, in Accra, Ghana's capital, communities depend on e-waste recycling for economic opportunities. The recycling of e-waste is carried out by a hierarchical organisation, with many migrating from other parts of Ghana to work. This is even after the dismantling of the Agbogbloshie scrapyard site in July 2021. When considering solutions to the world’s growing e-waste problem, should we give more thought to the economic reliance of locals? Read a write-up on the winners of the 13th Paris Fondation Carmignac Photojournalism Award by Rebecca Ann Hughes for Euronews here: https://lnkd.in/emDMCm8B #componentsense #sharedknowledge #electronicwaste #ewasterecycling #globalwastecrisis

I understand that for many large OEMs and EMSs, managing excess is not a top priority. It is common to see inexperienced employees tasked with shifting E&O at financial year-end get cash bids of 5-10% of the stock’s true worth. What many do not realise is that a proactive approach can lead to a 100% return on cost prices. So, how can you achieve this? Our Component Sense team has put together a fantastic white paper, ‘Ultimate Guide To Turn Excess Into Revenue,’ offering practical advice to unlock the financial potential of excess inventory. Like this post and comment ‘revenue,’ and I will get the PDF emailed to you. #excessinventory #electronicmanufacturing #componentredistribution #supplychainefficiency #componentsense

Your business is unique, and your excess and obsolete (E&O) strategy should be too! At Component Sense, we offer three tailored E&O solutions: 🔹 InPlant™: Our automated system integrates seamlessly with your existing MRP (material requirements planning) setup to actively identify true excess at the earliest possible stage. 🔹 Consignment: We manage and sell your stock while you retain ownership. Your excess is stored locally, allowing you to retrieve parts if priorities change. 🔹 Outright Purchase: Quickly convert your E&O stock into cash with a bid within 24 hours. If the bid is accepted, the stock can be uplifted in 48 hours. Choosing the wrong excess solution can be a costly mistake. Our world is saturated with electronics, from the smartphones in our hands to the refrigerators in our homes. However, when these devices reach the end of their lives, they often end up in places like Agbogbloshie, Accra—one of the largest electronic waste (e-waste) landfills on the planet. The e-waste crisis in Ghana’s capital is a serious concern, impacting the health of workers (including children), local communities, and the environment. By sourcing electronic components from a secondary market supplier like Component Sense, we can take significant steps to reduce e-waste pollution together. Learn more about how you can help tackle the global e-waste challenge here: https://lnkd.in/eXSCEuVw
