Thank you to everyone who joined us for the insightful tour of Paradise, a pioneering six-storey office development in Lambeth, developed by Bywater Properties. This building sets a new benchmark for low carbon development, exceeding the RIBA 2030 Embodied Carbon Targets with 491kg CO2e/m2. The carbon locked in the structure is equivalent to approximately 60 years of tenant emissions. A special thanks to Pavlos Clifton, Head of Development at Bywater Properties, for guiding us through the tour. His insights into the structural and sustainability potential of timber in the construction industry provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the use of low-carbon materials, sustainable architecture, and the importance of creating accessible and inclusive spaces.
