We are looking for an experienced leader to run the branch and manage the staff and volunteers in West Kent (with locations in across Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells), and to provide debt advice, case management, and money education to Crosslight’s service users. Our Ideal candidate has prior debt advice experience combined with experience of leading and supervising staff and volunteers. *JOB ALERT* There is a new and exciting opportunity to join our team in Hounslow. We are seeking a Client Navigator who will work as park of our Advice Services team. This is a crucial role to support our clients in Hounslow, and will be based at outreach locations across the London Borough of Hounslow to welcome clients, undertake a full fact-find and triage, and facilitate appointments with the team of advisers based in our Hounslow Branch. You will be one of the gatekeepers of our service, often being the first point of contact for our clients, most of whom will be struggling and may be both emotionally and physically vulnerable. You may be the first person many of our clients will have spoken to about their issues and being able to put them at ease in a professional, yet warm and friendly manner is incredibly important. You will get to make the first impression of Crosslight and help build trust and engagement from the very start. The role is varied but will involve handling new client enquiries in person and on the phone, understanding their situations, assessing their needs, booking and coordinating appointments, providing information, and acting as an advocate for the work we do.   ~ Full training given ~ 3 days per week, flexible working encouraged. To ensure that they can live as comfortably as possible during these incredibly difficult times, we work with our clients to find what benefits and support they are entitled to and create a budget with them to better manage their money. Our debt advice and money education is provided free for all of our clients and with the cost-of-living set to remain high and unmanageable for many we need YOUR support to continue restoring dignity and renewing hope. Rachel* upon fleeing domestic violence found herself sofa-surfing, with nowhere to turn. Through advice from her doctor, Rachel reached out to Crosslight for support with her debts, where our advisers supported her with a number of things including securing support from her local council for somewhere to live. Rachel also attended one of our Money Courses to help better prepare her for the future. After working with us, Rachel shared how it had impacted her life, "Now I have everything I need to start a new life. A warm place to sleep and live, food, so many tips on how to save money and how to make my own budget. I am almost free of debts and am now able to pay my bills because of all the support [from Crosslight]. I have also met many people who truly care about me and who are proud of seeing me progress and build a new life... My winnings are theirs too.
