About us

Strathclyde Business School - Department of Work, Employment and Organisation. Our work across the areas of people, organisations, work and the workplace is theory-led, policy relevant and focused on professional application. We are Scotland’s leading centre for research, knowledge exchange and education in human resource management (HRM), employment and organisational studies, including hospitality and tourism management where we are rated No 1 in the UK (The Complete University Guide 2019). Our research is of central importance to everything we do and is impactful. The Scottish Centre for Employment Research (SCER) is part of the Department. Its purpose is to produce high quality academic research for policy use in public, private and voluntary sectors. We have a growing portfolio of programmes, across multiple disciplines on offer. We offer three undergraduate programmes; advanced CIPD approved post-graduate programmes (full and part-time study options) and research degrees (MPhil, PhD and DBA).
