We host residential programmes every year for a company that we’ve worked with for over two decades... Every new group that joins the programme is asked to define what behaviour traits that effective leaders and team members present on the wall. Our latest group wrote what you see attached. ➡️ What should strike you: 📢 A leader must become a master of themselves not only in the way they drive results but also on an interpersonal level. 📢 Much of what makes a great leader or great team member is the same, and relies on how we behave and interact on a fundamentally human level. 📢 Behaviours like effective communication, transparency, proactiveness, motivation, and being able to cooperate are traits that are as valuable in the workplace as they are in our personal lives. This weeks apprentices have already completed many experiential exercises during their stay Newgale Lodge ! Yesterday morning, our consultants Mike Hopkins & Daniele Perchiazzi took them to Porthclais Harbour. Here, they took part in to tasks that we call 'Pyramids' & 'UXB'. In each task, a new leader is appointed to delegate and manage their team. In addition, we had team members partake as observers. In this role, they took notes about organisational, communication, & leadership skills that they did or didn't witness within the team. At the end of the tasks, the observers relayed their objective feedback to their own team first and then the next one, in order to influence better results in round 2.
