We provide forensic service to all boroughs in North East London and manage four primary care GP practices in Havering and Dagenham. Our Values are: We care | We respect | We are inclusive Originally formed in 2000, ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental health care, innovation and improvement. Our ambition is to make a positive difference by providing people with mental and community health care services that support their recovery and help them to achieve the most fulfilling lives possible. Everything we do is driven by our values of care, respect and inclusivity. Our patients’ needs matter most and we are constantly working to improve our support for all who use and have contact with our services. Our extensive research approach, commitment to education and emphasis on quality means we are at the forefront of excellence in mental health care. Award Winning Services In January 2022, ELFT achieved its third consecutive ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC); the first Community and Mental Health Trust to achieve this rating for a third time.

It was important to mark the closure of our important and impactful East London NHS Foundation Trust QI project We met 33 times over 2 years, always virtually as this made it more accessible, particularly for our service user Natalie a tetraplegic who uses a small digital device placed on her forehead to access online meetings Our local QI advisor Clarissa Sorlie suggested we make a film, so we decided to hold our final meeting IN PERSON for first time ever with Natalie’s carer joining us too so that she could be there During this last meeting I handed the team post it notes and asked ‘what has brought you joy’ and ‘what was the impact of this project’. We then filmed them reading their responses to create a short visual piece to tell a story. One colleague was so emotional she cried, saying how much the project had helped her as well as helping her team and patients I’m not sure if it comes across when you watch, but it was a poignant, powerful and proud moment for me hearing staff and service user team members share their experiences of the project Again, thanks to the East London NHS Foundation Trust QI team and Clarissa for supporting us to create this Let us know what you think - here’s the link again below! https://lnkd.in/dZqxv__8 Amar Shah Joanna Moore Alex Hadayah Lorraine Sunduza Pedro Delgado
When Dr Alex Harborne joined Tower Hamlets Community Health Services as Clinical Director in 2022, she heard the same story from every team she met: a tangible disconnect between primary care and CHS and a high proportion of rejected referrals. She therefore decided to start a QI project to address this complex challenge. In this video members of the project team reflect on the impact of the resulting work: https://lnkd.in/g5QFcQg3 East London NHS Foundation Trust Dr Alex Harborne
