I'm looking for a woman in FinTech... 🎶👩🏼👩🏾 Research by EY conducted in 2023 found that FinTech companies are less gender-diverse than the wider financial services sector, with women making up only 28% of the FinTech workforce, compared to 44% in the broader sector. On top of this, interviews between The University of Manchester and various FinTech professionals shockingly revealed that recruiters in the industry can be reluctant to hire women because of assumptions they would get married, have children, and be less committed to the business. At Ecommpay, we don't believe in the bias that is wrongly widespread throughout the FinTech sector. We have many powerful women working in various roles across our offices, and we know plenty more in the wider industry, who prove themselves worthy of their positions day in and day out. Meet two of our inspiring leaders: Clare Haskins, Head of Revenue Operations, and Rosanna Helm-Visscher, Head of Commercial Partnerships. They've sat down to share their personal stories of navigating the FinTech world. From balancing a family and career to overcoming perceived barriers and tackling industry biases, their journeys have been filled with both challenges and triumphs. Discover how they built their meaningful careers in FinTech, and hear their words of encouragement for how you can achieve the same! We previously ran a poll asking what the biggest challenge is when adding new payment methods to your checkout page. It was clear what you're most put off by: integration can seem complicated. Fear not! If you use a payment service provider (PSP), adding new methods to your payment options is simple - once you're integrated with a PSP, such as Ecommpay, you can access all of their payment methods. If you plan to add new payment methods to your offerings as you expand, we can simplify this process for you. This means less time worrying about integrations, and more time converting sales! Ready to simplify your integration process and provide a seamless checkout experience for your customers? Sustainability in eCommerce - how can we make an impact? 💡 Earlier this week, our Commercial Partnership Manager, Dylan Connor Fernandez, attended the eCom Collab Club™ 🥞 London! A panel discussion and Q&A was held by 👋 Tom Locke from Noughts & Ones | Certified B Corp™ Shopify Agency, Ryan Forster from Recharge, Chris Forbes 🌲🌍 from The Cheeky Panda | Certified B Corp, Alex Stewart from PACK'D, Sam Matanle 🌍 from Batch LDN, and Lucy Jeffrey from Bare Kind Socks | B Corp, tackling some of the biggest questions we all have about sustainability in the industry. Our key takeaways from the event: » Innovation is key, we need to challenge the status quo » Sustainability isn't something you can achieve through one thing, it's a collection of actions » Starting with small goals is better than not making a start at all - even the smallest of support can make a massive difference Also, congratulations to Dylan for winning the eCom Collab Club Selfie Competition for June! 👏🏼 At Ecommpay, we're not just focused on sustainability; we're also committed to making financial services accessible to all. Our partnership with the FinTech disability initiative, Project Nemo, is enabling us to assist in working towards bridging the gap between disability inclusion experts and FinTech decision-makers, fostering a more inclusive financial ecosystem. By integrating open-source solutions, we ensure that our platform is accessible without limits, providing merchants with the flexibility to expand into new markets and enhance financial accessibility. #Ecommpay #eComCollabClub #Sustainability #eCommerce #FinancialInclusion #OpenSource
