With the recent release of the EDC Jackup drilling rig, El-Qaher 1, we are very pleased to announce the successful completion of 2022-2024 drilling campaign, offshore Egypt; spanning 26 months, delivering 7 wells, safely (zero LTI), on schedule and in line with budget.   The new wells contribute up to 75% of the overall field production, a remarkable achievement including the first shallow subsea development in the Mediterranean Sea, honoring our commitment with our state partners to supply low cost and secure gas for the benefit of the Egyptian people.   Congratulations to the team: Nicolas KATCHAROV, Simone Conti, Thomas Quigley, Simon French, Riccardo Rosati & Manlio Mazzarelli #gas #energy #energysecurity  Paddy Blewer, Caroline Hegazi, MBA

It’s great to see progress at our Moroccan project. The Stena Forth is on site and drilling operations have commenced on the Anchois-3 well.   The Anchois #gas project holds exciting potential. At 18bcm it is Morocco’s largest undeveloped discovery, with an additional 21 bcm of undrilled prospective resources offering significant upside.   Most importantly, this gas could contribute to a more secure and sustainable Moroccan #energy dynamic. Domestic production – anywhere in the world – tends to be both more secure and more sustainable. We hope this marks the start of a new chapter in Moroccan energy development, one that leads to reduced coal consumption and supports the country’s sustainable industrial development policy.   We look forward to providing further updates as the project develops. We're excited to announce the successful start-up of the #Cassiopea gas field offshore Italy. With initial test production underway, the remaining wells and facilities are set to come online soon.   Cassiopea holds 10 bcm of reserves and production is expected to peak at 1.5 bcm annually. Whilst this asset is part of a portfolio being sold to Carlyle International Energy Partners, it highlights our commitment to driving #energysecurity and socioeconomic stability.   Our CEO, Mathios Rigas, sums up the moment: "This news represents Energean's positive involvement in yet another successful gas development. Energean is very pleased to announce that the Final Investment Decision on the Katlan project has been taken. The Katlan area will be developed in a phased approach through a subsea tieback to the existing Energean Power FPSO. The development will extend the production plateau from the FPSO with volumes that do not incur seller royalties or carry export restrictions. Production will underpin Energean’s existing #gas sales agreements plus target international markets . First gas is planned for H1 2027.   The Ministry has also ratified the Hermes discovery in the newly named Drakon area (Block 31) made as part of the drilling campaign in 2022.   CEO Mathios Rigas comments “This decision marks yet another positive milestone on Energean’s growth journey.
