We have been named an Environmental Services Leader in new research from independent analyst firm Verdantix. The Verdantix Green Quadrant: Environmental Services 2024 report provides a benchmark of the market's most prominent environmental services providers. - ERM is positioned in the Leaders’ Quadrant and is highlighted as one of three firms demonstrating the most comprehensive environmental services capabilities. -The report points to our strengths in deploying innovative environmental solutions to deliver sustainability transformation and notes our ability to support clients from strategy to implementation. -Verdantix also highlights our use of digital technology to enhance client value and project outcomes, giving us the highest score among all firms assessed in the Environmental Management Information System (EMIS) implementation category. -In addition, we are the only firm to achieve the maximum score for our air quality and emissions management capabilities. We are commended for our strengths in biodiversity, natural resource protection, and climate risk adaptation. The report describes a growing market driven by the need for businesses to measure and disclose sustainability metrics, transition to net zero, and build resilience to potentially catastrophic climate risks. Does your business plan to use AI in your health and safety practices this year?   We spoke to 256 global health and safety function leaders earlier this year, and the results were surprising.   ⭐ Just over one-quarter of health and safety function leaders are using AI in H&S for data analysis, improvement in the quality of training materials, and enhanced computer vision and monitoring. ⭐ However, just over one-third are not using AI at all or plan to.   If AI is on your roadmap, here are a few ways we expect to see it used in H&S over the next year and beyond. We are proud to have supported Fertiglobe in the preparation and application for a first-of-its kind auction to supply up to 397,000 tons of renewable ammonia to the EU by 2033.   Fertiglobe, which will produce certified renewable ammonia from hydrogen generated solely from wind and solar power in Egypt, was awarded the contract by H2Global, a funding program backed by the German Ministry for the Economy and Climate to accelerate the global market for hydrogen and its derivatives.   Our involvement included:   ✔ Consortium coordination: Supporting the project team in reviewing and interpreting competition requirements and validating all submission materials.   ✔ Environmental and social impact assessment: Demonstrating the project's alignment with environmental and social standards required by the competition body.   ✔ Paris Agreement and SDG alignment assessment: Evaluating the project's contribution to the Paris Agreement and UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring it met strict sustainability criteria.   We look forward to working with Fertiglobe and its consortium partners to support the global energy transition and help pave the way for a more sustainable future.   #RenewableAmmonia #RenewableEnergy #GlobalEnergyTransition

As we gear up for the year ahead, it's crucial to take a moment to look back at our achievements over the past 12 months. We're proud of the strides we've made and are committed to stepping up to build on this success and drive real change in the world.   These numbers represent our genuine impact. In June and July, the US Supreme Court issued several landmark decisions that shifted the regulatory landscape for businesses in the energy sector. In a decision released on June 28, 2024, the Court overturned the long-standing Chevron doctrine and abolished the principle of judicial deference to an administrative agency’s interpretation of ambiguous statutes. Historically, Chevron deference granted agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission latitude in interpreting regulations. Instead, the new Loper Bright decision requires courts to conduct a judicial review of agency actions, applying their judgment without deferring to the agencies. This marks a significant shift in regulatory interpretation that amplifies risks for businesses in the US energy sector.
