    Great to attend Reset Connect yesterday for London Climate Action Week! The day started with a fairly stark reminder that the UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world and that extinction risks continue to rise (currently at around 16% of species in Great Britain). As often happens with these events I go in feeling pretty pessimistic, by 10am everything feels impossibly bleak, and then somehow by the end of the day I come out feeling extremely hopeful. One of the best things about attending events like this is the reminder that a lot of very intelligent, very passionate people are out there trying to tackle these issues, and the tenacity they project always gives me more hope than I went in with. Below are some of the companies that made the biggest impression on me - check them out if you have a chance!     Had a great day with HandsOn London, working on Oldhill Community School's sensory garden & forest school 🌳 After falling into disrepair during the pandemic, it was no longer safe for the children to enjoy, & the extreme budget constraints put on schools meant there was no resource to revitalise the space. We spent the day mixing cement to fill hazardous holes in the ground, pruning overgrown trees & clearing algae from the pond, but there's much more to do! We’ve seen widespread use of social platforms both organically & through paid activity, & unsurprisingly, all parties have a much stronger presence than ever before. They seem to be adopting best practices, testing a variety of messages through their creatives, targeting broad audiences, & allowing the platforms’ algorithms to optimise. Labour have been adventurous with their testing, including humour, memes & the latest TikTok trends which are sure to appeal to younger audiences, while the Conservatives’ style is more traditional, using people’s fear of change, & focusing on issues relevant to the older population, such as pensions. #GeneralElection #SocialMedia #DigitalMarketing

    This month’s client shoutout goes to 🏛️ The Foundling Museum 🏛️ The Foundling Museum tells the stories of London’s foundlings, young children who were abandoned by their parents and cared for by someone else. It explores these histories on the site of the old Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity and first public art gallery. We’ve loved working with The Foundling Museum over the last year to promote their exhibitions and events through Meta Ads. Currently we’re running campaigns in support of Polly Braden: Leaving Ukraine - a particularly moving exhibition that charts the personal lives of displaced women and children since the war in Ukraine began (https://lnkd.in/eebXNrDa). If you have a spare afternoon we couldn’t recommend visiting the museum enough.
