"We're so lucky, here in the UK, that we have been able to rely on public healthcare for so long. I think there has been a false sense of comfort that employers didn't need to worry about their employee's wellbeing because they were already being looked after. Unfortunately, that support is waning." Watch our Executive Director, Eileen Burbidge, on Sky News talking about why it's more important than ever for companies to think about "raising the bar" and offering reproductive health support for their employees 📺 #reproductivehealth #employeewellbeing #healthandwellbeing

1 in 6 women leave their jobs due to endometriosis symptoms. 40% of women regularly experience period pain severe enough to affect their work. Women are being forced out of the workforce because they aren’t getting the support they need for health challenges like endometriosis, PCOS, menopause, and more ❤️🩹 By implementing a strong women’s health policy, you’re not only normalising these important conversations but also actively showing your commitment to retaining talented women in your workforce. When you support their wellbeing, you help keep your best talent onboard. If you’re unsure where to start, download our free women’s health policy template for inspiration: https://lnkd.in/eFCFzfQh Support your female employees and create a healthier, more inclusive workplace. #InclusiveWorkplace #TalentRetention #WomensHealth

Our Executive Director, Eileen Burbidge, recently shared her insights on the growing importance of fertility benefits at work in The Guardian noting that “since 2023, curiosity and fact-finding has moved towards action and introducing the benefits.” With Fertifa’s clients quadrupling since 2022, it's encouraging to see that businesses are finally making reproductive health a priority 📈 Though more and more companies in the UK are recognising this shift, there’s still a long way to go. As the NHS provision of IVF treatment continues to decline proportionally to out of pocket and privately funded treatment, employers need to consider how they can best support their employees' reproductive health and wellbeing. It’s an honour to be quoted alongside Nickie Aiken, former MP, Natalie Sutherland, partner and fertility officer at Burgess Mee and Co-founder of In/Fertility in the City, Becky Kearns, CEO and co-founder of Fertility Matters at Work, and Joeli Brearley, founder and CEO of Pregnant Then Screwed, all of whom are doing tremendous work in this space. If you're an HR leader using the quieter summer months to revamp internal policies, this one's for you 📣 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. And yet, 75% of men put off going to the doctor when they feel ill. By implementing a strong men’s health policy at your company, you’re normalising talking about these challenges and making it okay to ask for help. Your employees will feel empowered and understood, and by having a policy in place you’ll be attracting top talent who value a workplace that cares. 💪 We have our own men’s health policy at Fertifa, and we’re making it available for everyone.
