Flint Hyde was established in 2003 and is a boutique international executive search firm with offices in London (Financial Services) and Leeds (Consumer & Industrial). Flint Hyde specialises in recruiting for non-executive, executive and senior management appointments only. We possess a highly experienced team of consultants and researchers who are specialists in their chosen field, personally delivering all stages of their own assignments. All of our research is conducted in-house so that we can maintain control, speed and the accuracy of information. The vast majority of our work is either through repeat business or from recommendations and warm introductions which is testimony to the high quality of our service and our ability to not only find the best talent but also entice them to join our clients. The mainstay of our reputation is our extensive network of global contacts developed through years of experience in our own niche markets. We do not employ “generalists” and such is our specialist knowledge, the very best people in the industry are always on our radar Although we are located in the UK, our client base spans the globe with many assignments regularly being conducted for locations across Europe, The Americas and AsiaPac.

    Lovely words from our colleague Andrew Carrett who was honoured to be asked for his thoughts in this interview for Sky News this afternoon, reflecting on the life and successes of Morgan Stanley and Hiscox Chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy, following their incredibly sad passing. Andrew spoke of Bloomers outstanding career, the huge contributions he was still making to businesses across the financial services sectors and the impact of his generosity beyond the workplace. Our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of all those affected at this difficult time.

    We are so happy to have supported our charity partner Smart Works Leeds with the appointments of both Dee Reid and Ally Dowsing-Reynolds to the Board of Trustees. Congratulations to you both! 👏👏👏 Ally is the Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of home décor brand Dowsing & Reynolds, with 25 years experience in brand and marketing both in-house and for globally renowned agencies. Ally is also a vocal advocate for the Neurodiversity community, continuously showing support for Neurodiversity in the workplace. Dee has spent the last 7 years as Director of External Relations at Leeds Beckett University and 4 years on the board for the Leeds Community Foundation who distribute vital grants and give support to Community Organisations across Leeds and Bradford to influence positive change. Prior to this, Dee has held roles in Comms & Marketing at Leeds City Council and Education Leeds.     Across LinkedIn, you will see many instances of people celebrating their inclusion on power lists💪, but in the age of diversity & inclusion, we find fewer power lists celebrating the more mature members of our societies making huge contributions.    In particular, studies have shown that women start hitting the peaks 📈 of their careers in "Q3" of their lives, typically between 50 and 75. Therefore, we thought we would share the latest Forbes "50 over 50", showcasing the influential women shaping, business, the environment & society. 80% of the Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women are over 50 🙋♀️, with half being over 60. This demographic is not just an anomaly but a testament to the changing dynamics of leadership & talent in the modern workplace. Historically, women's careers have been characterised by non-linear trajectories, marked by significant commitments during their 30s & 40s. This period, known as 'Q2,' sees many women balancing professional ambitions with personal responsibilities🤱. However, as they transition into 'Q3' (ages 50-75), many women find themselves with fewer caregiving responsibilities & a renewed focus on their careers.     In just a few hours time, The Eifel Tower will shimmer, whilst proudly displaying those unmistakable five rings, as what is set to be a historic Opening Ceremony on the river Seine officially kicks off the 2024 Paris Olympics. 🙌 For the first time in Olympic history, the Opening Ceremony will not be conducted inside a stadium. The traditional Parade of Nations will take place along the river, in a first-of-its-kind. Over 10,000 Olympic athletes will be travelling on around a 100 boats, that will cruise along the Seine and pass through some of Paris’ iconic destinations, including the Notre Dame, Pont des Arts and Pont Neuf.     At Flint Hyde we love nothing more than to see members of our team thrive! 💥 With that in mind, we wanted take this opportunity to congratulate our colleague Ezra Plarisan, Assoc CIPD who graduated with a MSc in Human Resources last week.👩🎓👏 Ezra was already the most educated member of the team but now, we're pretty certain that no one has a chance of catching her! 🙈   Originally from the Philippines, Ezra joined us initially on a part-time basis while beginning her studies for an MSc in Human Resources and has since become such an integral part of the team that we asked her to join us full-time on a sponsorship opportunity.    It's been wonderful to see how far Ezra has grown and progressed 📈 since she joined us nearly two years ago, and we cannot wait to see just how far she can go! Congratulations Ezra - we are so proud of you! 🙌
