#fintechfriday After 14,635 days of faithful banking at the #Knightsbridge branch on Brompton Road, my account, once adorned with the prestigious title of The Gold Service, has seen quite the journey. For the majority of those days, it remained free, offering a plethora of tangible benefits. Yet, today, as I received my replacement gold #debitcard I was taken aback. Instead of the gleaming gold I had come to associate with it, the card was a rather mundane shade of green. In a year as significant as an Olympic one, where every detail counts, the colour switch felt particularly conspicuous. I couldn't help but envision how #ShaCarriRichardson might feel in Paris, standing on the podium with a green medal instead of the coveted gold. The symbolism is hard to ignore. I've frequently pondered the transition towards #digitalwallets over physical cards. Will consumers still pay attention to branding in this digital realm? Have we arrived at a stage where card issuers could simply digitise cards, eliminating plastic altogether? (I'm aware this already happens in some instances.) Or will the colour of one's digital card still carry significance? Time for a new bank account?

Day one done! We ended day one at #pay360 with a fabulous deconstruction of #paymentsorchestration with a highly experienced panel. Olga Gunchenkova Chris Mckarkiel John Mozie and Rob Lincolne shared their experiences, needs and wants with an captivated audience. A huge thank you for rnakihg this such an interesting moderating session. I’m so pleased we were able to bring such a mixture of merchants to the panel from high fashion, high octane and high stakes. #fintechfriday Today is going to be a little different. I was chuffed to have recently been appointed as a governor at the school I attended aged eight. I have been blown away by the dedication of the teaching staff, fellow governors and the Headteacher, whom like me is a former pupil. Today, we’ll get to meet the pupils and parents and I’ll be doing an inspection of the building. No pictures, but lots of memories. I can’t wait to see my old classroom. They don’t need to be #influencers, #tiktoknerds or #facebook users. My female hero probably has the same job title as yours. Mum. She may be 85 but she’s still young at heart and as tough as they come. She shaped me, guided me and still gives me a hard time. Now wonder my daughter is a mini-she! To all the female colleagues who gave me a break, helped, challenged and mentored me, thank you.

Dear LinkedIn family, I am posting this as I am aware of a malicious email which has been circulated to hundreds of industry colleagues and other parties, (including bizarrely the Prime Minister). The email is a pure malicious cyber attack on a fellow payments executive whom many of us would have shared a platform with. Images of me also appear in the email as we recently appeared at an event together. The sender has included images freely available online and information from Companies House - so there are no hidden gems or sleuth reporting. My life isn't that interesting! Suffice to say I have reported the email to cybersecurity UK, The Metropolitan Police and Action Fraud UK. I would urge you to do the same when these types of emails are received. I guard my reputation and integrity with absolute pride and will not allow churlish and destructive behaviour to get in the way of my relationships with clients, authorites and partners. In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas as to how we might establish the identity of the sender, I should be most grateful for any information. I have already been given some excellent advice on how to decode the fake email address, but the national cybercrime team will no doubt do the same. Thank you.
