Hi, welcome to the Family Psychology LinkedIn company page. Many of our staff are here on LinkedIn. We know that our networks are a great resource for us to use to make connections, recruit staff, learn and share news and ideas so please feel free to follow or connect with us. As an employee owned business we are driven by our values and our common aspirations to work with families. We are interested in innovation, evidence based interventions and the use of data and tracking to understand how we can achieve sustainable change with young people and their families beyond the period of intervention. We look forward to meeting you. #familypsychologymutual #fpmcic #welcome #networking #business #people #connections #new #psychology #linkedin #therapy #employeeowned

FPM were delighted to present Carolyn Fraser with her Microsoft Data Essentials Level 3 apprenticeship certificate at a recent event with our teams from Norfolk and Suffolk. Carolyn supports the Suffolk FFT team as Business Support Officer and is an invaluable member of the team. We are pleased to invest in all of our colleagues training and development. Opportunities for training via the apprenticeship route have been embraced by the business with three colleagues now having completed or completing apprenticeship training at levels 3 or 4. These enhanced skills will be used across FPM and we are proud of this achievement. #proud #continuouslearning #investorsinpeople #training #newqualification #welldone

Following on from our post yesterday about Well Being Week, we have been very lucky that our Suffolk Programme Manager Dr Vicky McCaig led an online session on the EFT technique Meridian Tapping. The session was very well attended and everyone that took part felt a difference afterwards. "A huge thank you to Vicky for leading the tapping session today, it was just what I needed. After a stressful and busy morning I almost didn't attend the session, but I decided to prioritise myself, and I was very glad I did. I left the session with a clear head and feeling very relaxed, which has definitely helped my productivity this afternoon." Well Being Week will be rounded off with a Gratitude/Appreciation circle with Norfolk Programme Manager Kim Mabbutt. #wellbeingweek2024 #wellbeing #employeewellbeing #prioritisewellbeing #employeeowned #employeementalhealth #employeehealth #norfolk #suffolk #london #team #teambuilding

This week we have been celebrating Well Being Week. Our well being is important, so we have been focusing on taking a step back from our busy workloads to enjoy time with our colleagues, as well as enjoying the beautiful weather. We have lots of company wide activities planned throughout the week, including well being bingo, meridian tapping and gratitude/appreciation circle, but each individual team has also planned an activity - our Head office team went for lunch yesterday, our Norfolk team hired a boat on the Broads followed by lunch, the Suffolk team have planned a trip to the theatre, and our London teams are off out for dinner. Here are a few photos shared by our Suffolk team, and how they have been choosing to prioritise their well being this week. #wellbeingweek2024 #wellbeing #employeewellbeing #prioritisewellbeing #employeeowned #employeementalhealth #employeehealth #norfolk #suffolk #london #team #teambuilding

This week we asked co-owners what employee ownership meant to them. The consensus is very much that employee ownership has given them a voice within the company, influence in decision making, a sense of responsibility and ownership, and an opportunity celebrate the growth of the business as a personal success. Employee ownership is at the heart of what we do at FPM and it is important that co-owners feel involved, valued and able to voice their opinions. #proudlyemployeeowned #proudlyeo #eoday #eoday2024

Happy #eoday 2024! When asked why employee ownership? Dr Tom Jefford said: "Employee ownership was an obvious choice for Brigitte Squire MBE, Judith Hill and I as founders of Family Psychology Mutual in 2015. It was also the most appealing option for the original staff team who were going to transition to the new company. Their enthusiasm and desire to work in a different kind of organisation to the NHS or the Local Authority was both energising and compelling. In fact we refer to ourselves as colleagues now and there is a democracy in the equal ownership of the business with all colleagues holding a single nominal share. As we have evolved and grown we have worked hard to express employee ownership in our structure and culture. There is no doubt that we are a value driven social enterprise and we know that this marks us out as different from our previous work in the public sector. We know it is an attractive draw for recruitment and retention. I would say that it has been a journey for us all to work out what employee ownership really means and we have tried different ways of making this a reality. The employee council has been a success although we recognise that participation in this takes time and additional efforts for colleagues to engage in it. Our Employee Directors play a key role in our governance and always exercise their independent judgment in support of the company. The EOA training we have offered has helped colleagues become quickly confident in these positions. The journey continues and we think about this consistently with colleagues who have been with us for a long time as well as our newer colleagues too. We would not want to work any other way." #eoday #eoday2024 #proudlyeo

Rounding up our week of volunteers is Kim Mabbutt. Kim is the Programme Manager of our Norfolk team and The Trussell Trust volunteer. Kim volunteered with The Trussell Trust for 6 years supporting weekly Food Bank sessions at a local church in Hampton, Peterborough. As the Lead of the Stockroom Kim helped to train up new willing and eager volunteers. The food bank she volunteered at was the only one providing evening sessions across Peterborough, meaning they had a high number of clients who were employed, and a large number of children that accompanied their parents. The Trussell Trust is an NGO and charity that works to end the need for food banks in the UK. It supports a network of 1,200 food bank centres to provide emergency food and compassionate, practical support to people in crisis, whilst campaigning for long-term change to the structural issues that lock people into poverty.
