We were honoured to host Nadia Whittome, MP for Nottingham East at our Akins House service. Nadia met resident J who has autism and is highly sensitive to noise. Our staff have worked intensively with him to find suitable accommodation - one of our brand new self-contained flats at Akins House. He spoke to Nadia about the difference his own front door and having peace and quiet has made for him. We also spoke to Nadia about the need for a long-term strategy and sustained funding for supported housing as part of Government plans to address the housing and homelessness crisis.

Beyond proud and absolutely delighted to announce that we at Framework Charity have appointed our first ever Youth Patron! Isa - who has gone above and beyond to raise funds for and awareness of our work for the past three years - will now advocate for Framework over the next 12 months among his peers, encouraging other young people to join forces in making a difference to local people experiencing homelessness. We couldn't be prouder of Isa! From a personal point of view, I am so proud to work for a charity that has allowed me to do this. As someone who was involved in the local charity sector from a young age, getting other young people involved with charities, volunteering and fundraising has always been a personal passion project.
