🌟 Exciting News at Frank Water! 🌟 We’re thrilled to welcome Ryan Webb as our new Digital and Marketing Trustee. Ryan has been a valued supporter of Frank Water for several years. Ryan shares: "I'm delighted to have joined the Board of Frank Water. I've worked alongside the team for a few years now, supporting the Marketing Team, Fundraising, and as a 'Rainmaker Partner'. Getting more involved alongside the other Board members means I can support the team further with all their brilliant projects, ultimately working towards their vision of a global water system in which everyone, everywhere has enough safe water to stay healthy." We're excited for the journey ahead and confident that Ryan’s expertise will be invaluable as we continue our mission. Welcome aboard, Ryan! 💧 #FrankWater #Trustee #SafeWaterForAll #MarketingLeadership
About us
There are 663 million people in the world without access to safe drinking water. More than 1 in 10 of these people (77 million) live in India. Frank Water is two organisations that share a single vision: a global water system that can provide everyone, everywhere with access to enough, good-quality water to sustain their livelihoods, protect their health, and unlock their potential, which conserves the environment and, at the same time, maintains peace and political stability. Our approach goes beyond traditional interventions like digging wells and installing taps. We focus on solving complex problems to create long-lasting and systemic change, needed for a water-secure world. Since 2005, Frank Water has reached over 500,000 people in India, Nepal, and Kenya, and in the UK, we educate to inspire sustainable responsible water usage. Frank Water’s UK-based social enterprise delivers various services that not only raise funds to support our charitable programmes but also reinforce our mission to inspire the UK (and beyond) to adopt a more sustainable approach to water.

We are really happy to announce that SuDSPlanter Ltd have come on board as Frank Water's newest Rainmaker Partner! SuDSPlanter Ltd creates a uniquely designed rain garden – sometimes called a stormwater garden – which captures rainwater run-off from roofs, rather than leaving it to flow into the drains and sewers and potentially overloading the system. It’s a cleaner, greener and sustainable way to guard against today’s increasing risk of flooding and contamination; it provides stored water for use in dry or drought conditions; and is designed to cope in wet and dry environments, so more durable and long-lasting than typical planters. "We at SuDSPlanter Ltd® are really excited to be joining the Rainmaker club, partnering with Frank Water on our aligned values around the water cycle and water's worth at both a local and global level. The alignment of values between SuDSPlanter Ltd® and Frank Water has enabled a natural partnership to form at a crucial time for both the environment and society facing the challenges of our growing climate crisis. We are really excited to be developing a combined education package for schools to access alongside a SuDSPlanter Ltd® offering which illustrates people’s commitment to water and it’s worth within the environments we live in." The charity will be working closely with the sustainable drainage company to educate the UK and further abroad about the importance of carefully managing our fresh water resources. We can't wait to get started on this journey!

Water is a basic human right, and today is the UN’s World Population Day, and we’re celebrating our 5th, Stand Up for Safe Water paddleboarding competition in Bristol. So far, we’ve raised £5,000 and 12 teams competed (in challenging weather conditions!) to bring safe water to more communities overseas. The money raised will go towards projects like spring rejuvenation in the mountainous Indian Himalayas and assessing the groundwater in the drought-prone state of Maharashtra. Communities in both regions face severe water issues, so we’re delighted that we’ll be able to support more remote villagers, particularly women who are instrumental in leading water-user groups and learning the skills to manage their water resources sustainably. A huge thank you to all 48 participants, volunteers, our partner SUP Bristol, the in-kind prize giveaways and goody bag items from FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH, Restore, Bird & Blend Tea Co. B Corp, Kabuto Noodles, Boundless, OceanSaver, Butcombe Brewing Co. and the delicious 'handy pies' from Pieminister, and Bristol legend Olympic bronze medallist Jenny Jones for making our event a huge success! 💙 There’s still time to support our teams and make a difference, head to our website to donate: https://lnkd.in/e-au2UE7 🙏 📷 Richard Johnson #FrankWaterCharity #SUPBristol #Bristol

This #PlasticFreeJuly we’re doing what we do best through our social enterprise encouraging festival goers to refill their bottle or buy one from us at festivals like #LoveSupreme this weekend. It also gives us to chance to speak to people about our mission and where their money goes when they buy our chilled, filtered water. Our festival refill service is powered by volunteers, and as a small organisation their support is crucial. Come and say hello if you’re there this weekend! 💦 Blaze Wade Sally Hearn-Smith Daniel Walsh Tom Freyberg will be there to welcome you 💙

I am excited to share that I have been appointed as a Trustee for Frank Water. I have followed Frank Water’s work for several years, with values aligned to Arup's.
