It’s been a packed week for the Maximalist Ltd crew! Two intense days of back-to-back bootcamp sessions, and here are my key takeaways: Pitching is as iterative as development itself! Stephen Hey made that crystal clear when we ended the day with a much-improved pitch—completely different from what we started with, and so much better! 📜 As a producer, I was thrilled to receive feedback from Des G. about our plans for developing and releasing our first IP under Maximalist. Feeling reassured, and I can't wait to send you all a build soon! ⏳ Business plans aren’t what get me up in the morning (that’s for sure), but they’re crucial for keeping your goals aligned and tracking progress. Thankfully, Christopher Lunardi made the daunting process as painless as possible. 📈 The brilliant Dr Jackie Mulligan gave us a crash course on networking—something everyone in this industry could use. We're an industry full of introverts, after all! Now, I'm armed with the right tools to approach others (no pointy sticks involved!) and become more approachable myself. 🤹♀️ There’s always an industry event happening, sometimes even overlapping! Jamie Sefton shared some guidance on which to prioritize, how to present ourselves, and best of all, a list of events to keep on our radar. Gamayo is still my #1! 😉 I love talking about work culture, and it was fantastic to hear from Jenny Hurley. After her session, I feel much better equipped to tackle the challenges that come with a diverse workplace—neurodivergent or not. 🧠 And finally, a huge thank you to Gina Jackson OBE and Marcia Deakin, our course leaders and mentors, for bringing all these incredible professionals to share their experiences with us. I can’t wait to pitch and present on the 19th—bring it on! 🤟 #gamedev #startup #codevelopment #indiedev

Weekends after school starts are all about playing games (celebrating the fact you no longer need to run around trying to get bits of uniform possibly) - so time to think about what’s the best game produced in The North over the last 12 months might be... you can nominate them here >>>https://lnkd.in/dEsdikXt
