🚨 We hosted the UK's first girls' wellbeing football tournament, G4G Football Festival, on July 13th in partnership with the adidas Breaking Barriers Project. Over 100 girls from 14 teams across England participated, marking a major step in promoting youth sports and well-being. Our event was designed to break down barriers to girls' sports participation, offering free entry, adidas kits, and meals for all. There were 20 workshop sessions running throughout the day, from meditation to sports recovery. Hosted by Chloe Morgan, head of She's A Baller, the festival highlighted the intersection of sports and holistic development. Coach Vas of Whetstone Wildcats F.C noted, "This event for 13/14-year-old girls was not just about football; it encapsulated the complete well-being of teenage girls as they transition into young women." This groundbreaking festival provided a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents and emphasised the importance of wellbeing and community in sports, and we aim to establish it as an annual event to empower and inspire the next generation of footballers and sports professionals. We are striving to raise £20,000 to continue promoting access to football and wellbeing support for young women and girls aged 11-16 from the UK's most marginalised communities.
