🌟 Last month was #nationalsmilemonth, and we had a blast sharing fun activities with our families at the Maldon Family Group! 😁🦷 Here's a few of the things we did: ✅Gave out free children's toothbrushes and toothpaste, generously donated by Tesco Community Champion Maldon (Thank you to Rhiain and to Jackie for collecting!😊) ✅Handed out teeth brushing charts to the children 🗓️🦷 Demonstrated good teeth cleaning with Peter the puppet while singing songs like "This is the way we clean our teeth..." 🎶🦷 ✅Distributed addition resources to parents on dental health 📧 Early dental health is so important and this helps us ensure our families are well informed. #HomeStartEssex #NationalSmileMonth #DentalHealth #FamilySupport #MaldonFamilyGroup

📅 Last Friday, our Chair of Trustees, Sarah, hosted a heartfelt farewell celebration to thank David Neale, our Treasurer, and congratulate him on his retirement. David, a true gentleman, with an incredible bank of knowledge, has supported Home-Start Essex since its formation in 2017. Prior to that, he dedicated many years as the Treasurer for Home-Start Chelmsford. It's easy to forget that our trustees are volunteers too, giving up their time for free to support our charity. A huge thank you, David, for your unwavering dedication and support over the years. Wishing you a long and joyful retirement! 🌞 We had a beautiful sunny day at Cressing Temple Barns recently with our volunteers based in mid Essex, joined by our Trustee Ed, who has taken on the Trustee lead role for supporting our volunteering sector. We strolled through the stunning gardens and enjoyed a mini picnic. Janet, Home-Start Essex co-ordinator of this group, presented everyone with a 'Thank You' certificate and a chocolate gift.
