On World Youth Skills Day, we celebrate the incredible journeys of young minds shaping the future. Meet CHRISTIAN PARFAIT NEBOT FONKOU, a 4th-year AI student at ESPRIT, Tunisia. Through Problem-based Learning (PBL), he tackled real-world problems and developed impactful community projects. A highlight was his participation in the A2SV | Africa to Silicon Valley Generative AI Hackathon in Ethiopia, where his team won first place with "CogniPath," an e-learning platform for children with autism. We were glad to contribute to the recent IFC - International Finance Corporation ‘Roundtable on Employability in Tunisia’ held at the World Bank in Tunis. Public and private sector higher education institutions collaborated to discuss strategies to support employability for Tunisian graduates, such as leveraging AI and technology in education, fostering employer partnerships, and promoting work-integrated learning. Among the speakers, Houbeb Rmadi Ajmi, MD of Université Centrale Tunisie Group, Lamjed Bettaieb, Deputy GM of ESPRIT Group, and Dr. Grace Nkansa, Senior Director of Employability and Partnerships at Honoris United Universities contributed to the two-day agenda to share the learnings and success of our pan-African approach, including our critical focus on gender equity in employability.
