Following our latest edition of our member magazine, IATEFL Voices, being totally dedicated to sustainability, IATEFL is excited to announce a new initiative 'Green IATEFL' with the aim of making IATEFL a model of sustainability for the wider ELT community, empowering both teachers and students to take meaningful environmental action. As part of the initiative, IATEFL will be working with key stakeholders to become a thought leader, giving the global ELT community direction around the interface between ELT and climate change. SIG SPOTLIGHT- PronSIG ✨ IATEFL Pronunciation Special Interest Group has been at the forefront of the practice & theory of pronunciation teaching for more than 20 years. PronSIG gives teachers the opportunity to: exchange ideas about methodology and materials; discuss theoretical matters and, work on the interdependence of pronunciation and other areas of language learning. Tomorrow (Wednesday 11 September) is the final day that we can accept proposal submissions for #IATEFL2025. The proposal form will close at 4pm (UK time) and after that time we will not be able to accept any further submissions. Please note, any joint speakers will also need to be added by this time. Here is a recap of how to submit your proposal: 1. Ensure you are eligible to submit at https://lnkd.in/e3JcTyye. 2. Log into your IATEFL Dashboard at www.iatefl.org and click on the 'Proposals' block to access the online form. 3. Complete the proposals form, following the information from the proposal guidelines. 4. Click 'Submit' at the end of the form. If you have previously created a draft proposal, you will need to make sure you have clicked ‘Submit’ before the deadline or it won’t be considered. 5. You will receive an email confirmation containing the details of what you included on the proposals form. Please keep this email for future reference.
