Our Responsible Business Practices pillar focuses on constantly strengthening our conduct, policies and controls, while respecting the regulations of the markets in which we operate. We’re committed to educating and enabling our colleagues across over 40 markets and in our global functions to conduct business with consistently high ethical standards. Last week, the Inchcape Australasia team was appointed as the distributor for Foton Motor in Australia. This partnership will introduce FOTON’s new energy and internal combustion engine utes – or pick-up trucks - vans, and trucks to the Australian market. Initially focusing on light-duty trucks and new-generation utes, Inchcape will later add vans and electrified utes and vans, leveraging both companies' strengths to enhance their market presence. Following the announcement that the sale of our UK Retail operations to Group 1 Automotive has closed, our Chief Executive Duncan Tait thanks our UK Retail colleagues for building such a high-quality business, focused on operational excellence and delivering for our customers.

Today is a significant milestone in Inchcape plc’s journey to become a pureplay Distribution business. We have announced the completion of the sale of our UK Retail operations to Group 1 Automotive and are now well positioned to focus on our ambition of being the leading global distribution partner to our OEM partners, delivering exceptional service and helping them grow market share.
