We’ve been talking with third sector organisations about their experiences and perspectives of hosting student social work placements. We’ve heard about the value the students can both bring, and gain, from placements in the third sector. We’ve started to touch upon all the aspects that make a placements a success. Now, we want to explore this further, and create a place for third sector organisations to hear how others prepare for a placement, and share top tips and resources that they use themselves. Join us online at 2pm on Monday 23rd of September, for the next workshop in the series; Preparing for Student placements. We’ll be talking practically about the who, what and how of hosting a social work student in a third sector organisation, and we would love to see you there! When everyone is telling you to care about everything - why on earth should you care about ethical commissioning? We did some research for colleagues in Healthcare Improvement Scotland then consulted a philosopher - here's what we found! #changemakers #ethicalcommissioning #humanlearningsystems #betterispossible

Our team got very interested in this at the Iriss conference and we would recommend this read and the course for those keen to close the thinking - doing gap...

If that sounds familiar then Iriss has the very course for you!
