    𝟭𝟭 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗴 - 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 For anyone who stumbles across this page, sees John Lycett, and thinks, "This guy looks young—bet he's only been at this a couple of years since finishing his GCSEs..." 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭... 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨. 𝟭𝟭 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙮. That’s 11 years of meeting new clients and businesses, learning about the exciting projects and ambitious plans they're using to grow, expand, and break into new markets. 11 years spent talking to candidates all over the country—finding out what drives them, the key roles they play, how they manage projects, and the systems, machinery, and cutting-edge tech they've installed, serviced, and commissioned. 11 years and honestly, feels like it all started just 2 minutes ago. And wow, how things have changed. From starting out on a modest salary, clean-shaven, and carrying a little less weight, To now owning, managing, and loving every single second of being a business owner. It's been wild to say the least. 11 years. And I plan on making a similar post 11 years from now because we’re just getting started.     😮 11 YEARS, JUST LIKE THAT 😮 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟯, that's when it all changed and could have easily changed for the worse. I'd sat 3 intense interviews what was then, Prime Time Recruitment I knew nothing about recruitment, I was 12 or so months out the forces, had a 2 year old that wouldn't sleep, a broken marriage and had just "left"/ "lost" my job (depending who you speak to). Remember it well...I was on the treadmill when I got the call, asking me to get to Manchester to show my passport. A little commitment test to prove I was a good en. Dripping with sweat and knowing my car was in for MOT, I had to beg for someone to get me to the office in the centre of Town before 4pm. It was 2:20pm, a time when normal folk are in work. Mega. Anyway, I got there, still dripping and was offered the job, that's when the journey began. Doesn't seem like two minutes ago since this day and so much has changed since then for the better, both inside and outside of work. If you'd have told me 11 years ago, I'd be on an early path to starting your own recruitment business, I'd tell you you were a liar and you need to get help.  I left school with nothing but a C in Maths and the Army with a level 1 bricklaying qualification and knew how not to snap my leg when jumping out of a C130 plane. Hard work, discipline and a bit of hunger in your belly and it can be done. Big shout to the guys who started all this for me back then Matthew Devine Adam Calderwood Shaun S. 11 years in the bag, still learning, still hungry and feel like I'm still only just scratching the surface. Hopefully AI won't steal my job so I can blast out another 11 years 💪

It ain't me. This just shows, the business is growing, getting bigger, better, gaining more traction and getting noticed more and more each and everyday. Yeah we're still babies in this game, but we all were at some point. Baby steps they say.     Scary times ahead..... but here at J3A Recruitment we love a challenge. If it was easy, everyone would do what we do but quite frankly, they don't. It'd be good to hear what leading businesses in the market are doing to combat the current & future shortages of experienced staff.

The market is difficult to say the least at present and only going to be getting harder over the coming months, years once everyone is fishing in the same pond for the same people that....more than likely....aren't there. This isn't the only dilemma most businesses will be faced with, but one that seriously needs addressing. I wish there was a quick fix to avoid this but unfortunately, that isn't the case.
