Jet Social began life as a Norwich marketing agency back in 2012. Over the years it has evolved into a content agency spanning a number of industries. We’ve had some amazing experiences over the years, from working with BMW and Shell at Goodwood through to creating technical whitepapers for the retail industry. We’ve also created a number of sister brands over the years to support those in both travel and motorsport. We’re immensely proud of the work we do for our clients, and the awards we’ve picked up over the years. To be able to create content that works hard for our clients is incredibly fulfilling. To see businesses achieve impressive press coverage, rise in the rankings, and reach their goals is exactly why we do this.

Standardisation is still an issue when it comes to EV charging. OCPP makes a big difference and you can now pay using contactless, but we've still got a long way to go. Listen as Matt from Octopus Electroverse shares his thoughts on a recent panel with our founder, Jess Shanahan, at the Move Mobility show in London.

Let's talk about data (not to be confused with Data from Star Trek: TNG). 🖖 This is an often overlooked tool when it comes to brand storytelling. 📊 People see data as cold and clinical, but it doesn’t have to be; it can paint an important picture that gives more context and background to the story you’re trying to tell. Let’s take an energy company that is trying to show how its customers have changed their habits using its tools. The brand might talk about how customers have improved with statistics to back that up. For example: "Our customers have improved energy efficiency by X% on average." This is good, but there's a better way. Brands should tell the story of HOW. This means looking more closely at the data you have on those customers. Are families struggling because it's difficult to get children to take part in habit change? Or are they gamifying the process in a way that engages the whole family? A story is far more engaging to the press, consumers, and potential partners if there's a human element. Take a look at the carousel below for some more tips. I've also included a link to the full article I wrote on this topic for Forbes Business Council in the comments. #brandstrategy #brandstorytelling #contentmarketing #contentstrategy #digitalmarketing

E-fuels (often called synthetic or sustainable fuels) are heralded as the silver bullet to many of transport's problems. But much of the information shared online focuses on how battery electric vehicles are the villains and e-fuels are the saviours. While there are applications where e-fuels make sense, there are a lot of misconceptions about them. 1. E-fuel still emits harmful tailpipe emissions. 2. E-fuels are similar in composition to petrol and diesel but shouldn't be confused with other synthetic fuels such as ethanol. 3. They are only carbon neutral when produced with renewable energy. 4. They will be most effective as part of a broader multi-fuel approach to transport. #efuels #sustainabletransport #electricvehicles Forbes Business Council

We're at the London EV Show this week and we're looking forward to packed day two. Yesterday, our founder Jess Shanahan hosted a panel on autonomous and connected vehicles, engaging with industry leaders David Fidalgo, Okan Bas, Jeremy Yapp, Ben Loewenstein, and Balraz Singh. The insights and discussions were nothing short of enlightening, delving deep into the future of driverless technology. The show has been an incredible platform for networking and collaboration. We've had the opportunity to connect with EV professionals and enthusiasts from around the world, including Ellis Spiezia, Chloe Theobald, Isaiah Egwuagu, Jay Velayutham, Philip Clarke, and many more. Today, Jess is set to host another vital session on Smart Charging Infrastructure. With a lineup of experts including Andy Ryan, Albina Iljasov, Josey Wardle, William Corlass, Jorge Martins, Alan Wang, and Robert Harper, we're anticipating yet another round of engaging and forward-thinking discussions. #LEVS23 #londonevshow #electricvehicles #smartcharging #autonomousdriving

We visited Karren Brady's Women in Business & Tech Expo last week and have come away invigorated about the future of women in the tech industry. The words of Karren Brady resonated with us long after the show, too. An audience member asked Karren how to balance work, home, and family commitments as a business owner. She replied: "Focus only on what's truly important in those areas. Forget hoovering, it just doesn't matter if the sitting room hasn't been done for weeks, it's not important!" This is a great reminder that we can't do it all. Baroness Brady reminds us that doing our best is enough. The expectations placed on working women are changing, and an event like this gives us all the chance to see what is truly possible. Here's to creating our own success. (And ignoring the hoovering!) #karrenbrady #womenintech #womeninbusiness #inspirationalwomen

This is something we notice a lot with less experienced writers. The angle of a story is a vital part of the mix, as it can breathe life into old topics or ones that have been covered thousands of times already. Consider this when thinking of thought leadership topics for your brand. You need to be saying something new or putting a new spin on something familiar. #contentmarketing #thoughtleadership

Have you ever written an article or received something from a freelancer and felt like it missed the mark? There's a reason for this that goes beyond writing talent and expertise. In my experience, it's down to the lack of a clear story angle. It's the job of writers to find new ways to tell a story, even if that topic has been covered 1000 times before. There's no point in putting out content if it doesn't approach the topic in a new way or go above and beyond what's already out there. For example, let's say the topic of the story is electric cars. 🙁 Weak angle: The best electric cars 🙂 Good angle: The best electric cars for your daily commute 😃 Better angle: The electric cars so quiet and easy to drive that you’ll never get road rage again There's always the temptation to go broad with an article in the hope it reaches more people, but as anyone who works in marketing will tell you, the more personalised and specific you can be, the better. A strong angle not only makes your story more compelling to the reader but also makes it easier for them to find. The angle allows you to be more specific with your hashtags, keywords, imagery, and the wording you use to promote the piece. Whether you're a writer or you're in-house at a brand and working with writers, keep this in mind as it's a great way to make your content marketing more effective. Check the comments for a piece I wrote for The Freelancer that goes into more detail with extra examples. How do you find new and interesting story angles? #freelancewriting #electricvehicles #emobility #contentmarketing #contentwriter
