🌟 Bee Unique Autism is a wonderful charity in West Cumbria that’s making a real difference for individuals with autism, as well as their families and caregivers. We're proud to have partnered with them through our work on the Sellafield project, starting back in 2023. Not only have we had the pleasure of sponsoring Bee Unique FC—a football team proving that kids with hidden disabilities can absolutely shine in sports—but this year, we also sponsored the Bee Unique Autism Cumbria SEND Games and Pan Disability Football Tournament. 🎉 The event was packed with fun, from magic shows to a funfair and even alpaca walks! 🦙 The funds raised helped support Bee Unique Autism's incredible initiatives and benefited two local schools, St. Benedict’s and Mayfield School, where the event was hosted. Our Head of Social Impact, Jamie Parkes, shared, "Partnering with Bee Unique Autism has been such a rewarding experience, allowing us to connect more deeply with the community. 🐝 An un-BEE-lievable find at our site in Basildon this week 🐝 During our asbestos removal and demolition project, the Keltbray team discovered not just one, but FOUR honeybee colonies! Partnering with the experts at Bee Gone, we ensured a safe and respectful relocation of these important pollinators. The Bee Gone team, wearing P3 RPE and specialist bee removal PPE, carefully relocated the queen and as many bees as possible into a Nuc box. These bees now have a new home at an Apiary in Essex. 🛠️ It's not every day you find bee colonies in such unique settings, and it's a reminder of our commitment to conserving and protecting biodiversity on all our projects. 🌍 Check out the pictures of this fascinating process! 📸 #Biodiversity #Conservation #Construction #Sustainability #BeeGone #Honeybees
