They’re also planning to increase maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave pay, plus offer an enhanced rate of child benefit for one-year-olds. 🟩 Green Party of England and Wales: They’re extending the government's childcare offer to 35 hours per week from the age of nine months, abolishing the two-child benefit cap, and providing breakfast clubs in primary schools. 🟪 The Reform Party: They’re pledging to "frontload" the child benefit system for kids aged 1-4, giving parents more time with their children. This week I learnt about Human Spaghettification And I have never heard a truer analogy to represent being a working parent “Spaghettification is the vertical stretching and horizontal compression of objects into long thin shapes (rather like spaghetti) in a very strong, non-homogeneous gravitational field. It is caused by extreme forces. In the most extreme cases, the stretching and compression are so powerful that no object can resist it. If one were to fall into a black hole feet first, the gravity at their feet would be much stronger than at their head, causing the person to be vertically stretched.
