Congratulations to Michael Saunders, National Contracts Manager at Elgas Limited, a Linde company, for umpiring his 300th Australian Football League match recently in the Western Bulldogs vs Carlton game in Melbourne, Australia. He is only the 20th boundary umpire to reach that milestone since the league started play in 1897. Michael began umpiring in 2009, shortly after starting in the BOC graduate program. Now in his 16th season as an AFL-level boundary umpire, he has officiated 18 finals including the 2013 Grand Final. On the field. On the job. Q2 earnings report is out. 📈 Adjusted operating profit of $2.4 billion was up 6% versus prior year led by higher price and continued productivity initiatives across all segments. Adjusted operating profit margin of 29.3% was 140 basis points above prior year. For the quarter, adjusted earnings per share was $3.85, 8% above prior year. Recently, we told you about how our performance focus delivers strong results for customers. Today, we'll explain how technology underpins that success, using a new green hydrogen plant developed and built by Linde Engineering as an example. The electrolysis plant, recently inaugurated by Yara International, is based on proton exchange membrane technology from ITM Power. It has a production capacity of around 10,000 kilograms of hydrogen per day. Yara will use the green hydrogen as feedstock to produce 20,500 metric tons of ammonia per year that will be converted into 80,000 tons of low-carbon fertilizer. Recently, we shared the news of a groundbreaking 24 MW green hydrogen plant developed and built by Linde Engineering for global fertilizer manufacturer Yara International.
