We've almost recovered from last Thursday's #LivingWageChampions awards hosted by Jason Mohammad at Techniquest, Cardiff. Diolch, thank you to everyone who attended and for all the hard work put in behind the scenes to make it a memorable event. Congratulations again to all of the winners and nominees! Two special awards were given to Mari Arthur (former Cynnal Cymru - Sustain Wales director, now Afallen Tetrim Teas ) and Ed Heery (Cardiff Business School) There are now over 15,000 #LivingWageEmployers across the UK and we are very proud of the over 550 of those organisations in Wales who have committed to paying a real #LivingWage Living Wage Foundation

We had such a great time last week celebrating the London Borough of Ealing's commitment to becoming a Living Wage Place, the first of its kind in West London! 🎉 📈 There are now nearly 70 accredited Living Wage Employers in Ealing who are committed to always paying their directly employed and contracted-out workers in line with the cost of living in London. The London Living Wage is currently £13.15. Accredited employers in the borough include Brompton Bicycle, Ealing Council (London Borough of Ealing) and University of West London. The council is launching a new support and incentives programme at the event to encourage more local businesses to sign up. The first 250 businesses to accredit before 31 March 2025 will be able to access: ✅ grants to cover accreditation costs ✅ free recruitment services ✅ free business planning support ✅ free training and development programmes for employees ✅ a dedicated ‘Business Buddy’ – a council officer to support employers with access to council services and advice ✅ free promotional opportunities to showcase their business Contact [email protected] to find out more and sign up.
