The increasing pressure on councils’ finances over recent years has only served to make it even more vital that well written and presented reports for members relating to complex business cases are developed by officers to ensure sound decision making by councils. This webinar for officers will provide an overview of best practice in preparing reports for member decisions on complex business cases. 🗣 Hear from David Crowe, Senior Strategy Director at Local Partnerships, and Cllr Bryony Rudkin, Deputy Leader of Ipswich Borough Council.

About us
Local Partnerships - the public sector delivery specialists Local Partnerships is a joint venture between the Local Government Association, HM Treasury and Welsh Government. We help the public sector deliver projects and change at the local level. We provide an interface between central government policy and local delivery to ensure key priorities are achieved and clients secure excellent value for money. We are a hands-on organisation and work collaboratively for the benefit of our clients, often sitting alongside project teams, rather than providing advice from afar. We bring public and private sector experience that provides confidence, additional capacity and commercial capability. We provide trusted, professional support and advice across multiple disciplines including regeneration and housing, waste, infrastructure, mergers and shared services, developing commercial capability and integrating health and social care. We help the public sector explore alternative local government models as part of devolution discussions and financial restructuring, formal collaboration and merger, acting as independent broker between different parties. We provide support for the production of business cases for councils wishing to invest in energy, housing and social investment as part of their commercial-led strategies. Our team of experts works solely for the benefit of the public sector, helping councils and combined authorities overcome challenges and improve their chances of success.

#RWM24 Great day at the Resources & Waste Management conference, discussing the circular economy, government policies, private sector innovation and council initiatives with my client Defra, CIWM, the Environment Agency and many more. Plus there was Lego, self driving recycling stations, and massive shiny electric waste collection vehicles!

Great day at the RWM Expo 2024, making new contacts, chairing a panel on how consultancies are translating sustainability trends into action, and seeing a few familiar faces too. Highlight for me was listening to Chris Packham - I’m a big fan - left feeling inspired to move faster, keep following the data and switch my bank to an ethical one as soon as possible (it’s been on the to do list but will now be bumped to the top!)
