Key updates to look out for this month include: - the SEC’s private fund adviser rule, adopted in August 2023, being overturned in its entirety by the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; - a private fund sponsor being fined by the SEC for recordkeeping failures, as a result of its personnel using “personal texting platforms” to discuss business matters; - significant updates to the QPAM exemption which are now in force; - reforms to the UK limited partnership regime which are now not expected to come into force until 2026; and - the UK’s anti-greenwashing rule which is now live.
