In partnership with Brunel Law School, last week we welcomed our second cohort of training scholars, Sirah and Yasmin, for the start of their summer work experience. Over the next six weeks, they’ll gain insight into life at Macfarlanes through practice area seats, networking, training events, and mentorship. Through this initiative we aim to address socio-economic barriers that may stop talented individuals from pursuing a career in law. Our scholarship does this by: - covering the full cost of university tuition fees; - providing a six week paid work experience in the summer following their first year; - providing a paid year in industry between their penultimate and final year; and - partnering each scholar with a set of mentors, who are all senior fee earners, to guide and advise them.
