🎉🏅 Huge Congratulations to Fiona Connolly for Completing the Ironman Competition in Hamburg! 🏅🎉 From the grueling swim to the intense bike ride and the challenging marathon, she conquered it all. Her journey has been nothing short of inspirational!
I don’t normally post much on here but wanted to say a little something about handling the stresses and strains that we all seem to be under in the legal industry. With the demands of clients, fee income, expenses etc, running a law firm takes a lot of time and energy and everyone needs time to unwind. Many do that through peaceful, calming activities such as music, drawing etc and others might do physical activities to clear their heads. For the last 7 years I’ve been taking part in triathlons and although I’m normally somewhere at the back of the pack, I find the training for these races beneficial to have time to myself and have no one asking anything of me in that moment. So, last weekend, I took on a pretty big challenge and managed to complete the Hamburg Ironman being a 140.6 mile triathlon. As usual, I was at the back of the pack, but I finished what I found to be a gruelling challenge but discovered that I’m capable of so much more, both physically and mentally, than I would have thought possible. I’d like to thank everyone at Mackintosh & Wylie for putting up with my moaning about how tired I was with the training, my family for being missing in action for long bike rides and runs and to my triathlon club, Ayrodynamic, who for the most part were unaware they were helping me achieve this goal.

Mackintosh & Wylie are pleased to announce that Lesley Dowdalls has been appointed as a Sheriff in Glasgow and will take up her appointment on 1st April 2024. Lesley will leave Mackintosh & Wylie, after 35 years, on 31st December 2023.
