“It is fantastic news that the Princess of Wales has finished her chemotherapy and it will benefit so many people living with cancer to see her come through treatment and share this video.    “As the Princess said, the cancer journey is complex, and a lot of people can find it tough when they end their cancer treatment and return to work. Your family, friends and work colleagues might think you are back to normal - but the person who has just been through it all can still feel vulnerable and in need of a lot of support.    “Everyone has a different road to recovery from their treatment and we encourage people to take it one step at a time and do what feels right for them. Finishing treatment can be both emotionally and physically challenging and at Maggie’s we are here for anyone who needs help to cope with this.” - Laura Lee (DBE), Maggie's Chief Executive If you're finishing treatment and wondering what comes next, just come in to speak with our experts who can answer your questions. This week's #FridayFundraiser is celebrating an incredible group of thrillseekers who braved a 110ft abseil at Leasowe Lighthouse, raising just over £7,000! One member of the group, Poppy, shares her reason for taking part: ‘’I chose to do the abseil to raise money for Maggie’s as the support they have given my family, especially my sister after her diagnosis, was incredible. Maggie’s staff are absolutely amazing people, who care, nurture and are simply there for you.   "The abseil was surreal and one of the best experiences, it helped me push myself out of my comfort zone.‘’ Well done and thank you to Poppy, and all of our supporters and their friends and family, for taking on this challenge and raising such an incredible amount in support of people living with cancer and those who love them.

    • Poppy is smiling to the camera whilst abseiling, wearing a helmet and a Maggie's orange t-shirt and black leggings. The quote on the image says 'The support Maggie's has given my family, especially my sister after her diagnosis, was incredible'.
